– Warner Brothers and DC released the second full length trailer for Wonder Woman at this years Kid’s Choice Awards on Saturday. The trailer shows mostly new footage, with some previously released material interspersed throughout. It gives us a much more in depth look at life on Themyscira, and what presumably will compromise the beginning of the film. The rumored villain, Ares, is noticeably absent.

– Terry Notary, the man who brought Kong to life in Kong: Skull Island, has been reportedly cast as Thanos’s “right hand man” in Avengers: Infinity War. The motion capture expert won’t name his character as “Marvel will severe my [Notary’s] head,” but did say that he is working with “Josh Brolin and three other actors.” Notary’s other prominent roles include the role of Rocket in the Planet of the Apes franchise and as Peon in Warcraft: The Beginning.

Stan Lee canceled his Big Apple Comic Con appearance due to health concerns. This comes after his canceling his San Diego Comic-Con appearance this past year for similar reasons. Lee has been making the convention rounds this year, billing many of his appearances as his final. Jim Lee filled in for Stan this weekend, in a moment of Lee-solidarity.

– Max Brooks’ “Harlem Hellfighters” will be adapted into a six-hour limited series by the History Channel. It will be produced by Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and James Lassiter’s company Overlook, with a script by San Andreas scribes Jeremy Passmore and Andre Fabrizio.

– WGN’s “Scalped” adaptation has cast Hell or High Water actor Gil Birmingham as Chief Lincoln Red Crow, the voice of Disney Princess Pocahontas Irene Bedard as Gina Bad Horse, and Twilight alum Chaske Spencer as Sheriff Falls Down. They join the previously cast Alex Meraz as Dashiell “Dash” Bad Horse and Lily Gladstone as Carol Red Crow. Sterlin Harjo, a Native American filmmaker, has joined the show as a producer.

– There is finally a title for Fox’s Untitled X-Men Show thanks to a tweet by produced Lauren Shuler Donner: Gifted. Along with the title, Donner also tweeted out a picture of the cast from a script reading.

The Tick will feature an updated costume for the new Amazon series. The new suit is less hyper-detailed and bug like than the one used in the pilot, and features a more traditional super-hero design with accentuated padding and a fuller mask.

Steve Downer has created a series of art pieces depicting super-hero origins as Ikea instructions. These include the origins of Batman, Spider-Man, and Wonder Woman.

– The CW’s Black Lightning has cast Christine Adams (Batman Begins, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo)as Lynn, the ex-wife of Jefferson Pierce, the series’ titular superhero.

– “Well, 2018 is not happening. We haven’t announced a firm release date. What people have to understand is that this is a cadence of releases. So we’re not making Avatar 2. We’re making Avatar 2, 3, 4 and 5. It’s an epic undertaking.” said director James Cameron in an interview with The Star where he announced the delay of his Avatar sequels.
