– Grant Morrison will contribute a brand new “Multiversity” story to “DC Pride 2023.” Hayden Sherman will provide art. While not much is known about their story, Morrison and Sherman join creators such as Nadia Shammas, A.L. Kaplan, and Leah Williams on the Pride Month annual, which spotlights the LGBTQIA+ fan favorites of the DC Universe. The anthology hits shelves on May 30. This comes two weeks after “The DC Book of Pride” #1, in which writer Jadzia Axelrod and artist Paulina Ganucheau detail over fifty LGBTQIA+ characters in the DC universe, including Harley Quinn and Aquaman/Jackson Hyde.

– The publisher has also announced “DC Pride: Through the Years” (June 13), featuring three previously out-of-print stories and one original Alan Scott tale. Characters spotlighted in the issue are the Pied Piper (“The Flash” #53 by William Messner-Loebs and Greg LaRocque), Kate Kane/Batwoman (“Detective Comics” #854 by Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams), and Lee Serrano (“Supergirl” #19 by Steve Orlando, Vita Ayala and Jamal Campbell). Tim Sheridan and Cian Tormey will handle the Alan Scott story. DC will also release a series of Pride Month variant covers all throughout June, with “Detective Comics,” “Wonder Woman,” and “Harley Quinn” among the titles receiving variants. Find out more from DC on their website.

– BOOM! Studios revealed a new six-issue “Wild’s End” series, written once again by Dan Abnett with art by I.N.J. Culbard. No specific plot details were given, although it appears it will see the anthropomorphic inhabitants of rural 1930s England take to the sea. Culbard says, “I’m really excited to be working in this world again and introducing regular and new readers to a whole new cast of characters.” The first three “Wild’s End” books were published from 2014 to 2018, and saw said version of England being invaded by aliens. Issue #1 of the new arc will debut on June 21.

– Vault Comics announced plans to make their entire catalog available through the Omnibus app. The upcoming digital reader and marketplace is expected to release this spring. Vault is one of the first publishers to make their backlog available on the potential comiXology alternative.

Dr. Stone: New World will premiere on Crunchyroll on April 6, 7:30am PDT. New episodes will then be simulcast from Japan every Thursday. The English dub will premiere on April 20, 12:30pm PDT. The new series takes place at the end of the Stone Wars, seeing Tsukasa’s Empire of Might and the Kingdom of Science joining forces, building a ship to uncover the mystery of the global petrification. The series is based on the manga of the same name, originally serialized in Shonen Jump, written by Riichiro Inagaki with art by Boichi. You can watch the trailer here. Previous episodes of Dr. Stone can be found here.

– Tsukasa Hojo’s “Cat’s Eye” will be getting a live-action TV series from French network TF1, according to Le Parisien. The manga, which ran from 1981 to 1985, follows a trio of art thief sisters who run the title cafe during the day. It was previous adapted as an anime by Tokyo Movie Shinsha in 1983, Most recently, it inspired the CGI cell-shaded anime Lupin III vs. Cat’s Eye, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video, honoring both the series’ 40th anniversary and the original Lupin III anime’s 50th. TF1 has not confirmed the report.

– Finally, two upcoming DC animated features will premiere at WonderCon this year. The first is Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham, based on the story from Mike Mignola, Richard Pace and Troy Nixey. Doom That Came To Gotham (available on digital, 4K, and Blu-ray on March 28) takes place in 1920s Gotham City, and sees Batman battle a Lovecraftian elder horror with reimagined versions of his villains and supporting cast. The second is Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes & Huntsmen, Part One (April 25), which sees the heroes of the DC Universe enter the world of Remnant, home of Rooster Teeth’s Team RWBY. Doom That Came To Gotham premieres Friday, March 24 at 6:00pm in the Arena. Justice League x RWBY can be seen March 25 at 1:30pm in North 200A. Both are followed by a Q&A panel.
