In case you missed it, DC confirmed the artists for the “Justice League” relaunch and provided some additional details; Dark Horse announced tie-in comics for Incredibles 2; there will be an Archie and Batman ’66 crossover from Jeff Parker, Michael Moreci, and Dan Parent; and Dynamite has acquired the license for “Mars Attacks,” and is also launching a new “Charlie’s Angels” series from John Layman and Joe Eisma.

Dazzler is getting a new one-shot from writer Magdalene Visaggio (“Eternity Girl,” “Kim & Kim”) and artist Laura Braga (“Harley & Ivy Meet Betty & Veronica”). “Dazzler: X Song” sees Dazzler in the underground punk scene, as she “stumbles upon a part of her world that’s dangerous and violent.” Visaggio is excited to write one of her favorite X-Men saying, “I love to frontline women who quite literally rock, and I hope me and Laura can bring some of that same energy and positivity to Dazzler.” “Dazzler: X Song” #1 comes out on June 6.

– Dynamite Entertainment is ramping up for Vampirella’s 50th anniversary next year by releasing a new miniseries and 2019 wall calendar. Starting in June, the husband-and-wife team of writer Kristina Deak-Linsner and artist Joseph Michael Linsner (“Dawn”) will be behind “Vampirella: Roses for the Dead,” a four issue series that will feature Vampirella’s classic look, and re-introduce her cousin, Evily. The wall calendar, “highlighting the superstar artists that have defined her look over five decades,” will ship in September.

– Robert Kirkman and Marc Silvestri’s “Stellar” is returning with a new creative team of Joseph Keatinge (“Shutter”) and Bret Blevins (“New Mutants”). The “cosmic adventure,” about a child transformed into a weapon, was part of Top Cow Productions’ ‘Pilot Season’ nearly eight years ago. The new iteration of “Stellar” debuts on June 13.

– True to form, Matt Ryan’s Constantine is stubbornly sticking around, even though the live action Constantine‘s last episode was in 2015. He will be promoted to a series regular on Legends of Tomorrow, in addition to voicing the character for the animated Constantine series premiering on CW Seed. Legends of Tomorrow hasn’t actually been renewed for a fourth season, but CW hasn’t announced official renewals for any of its shows yet.

– Comics retailer Golden Apple Comics is getting into the publishing business as Golden Apple Books. They will be launching three titles at WonderCon 2018: “Blastosaurus” by Richard Fairgray and Paul Eiding, a prequel to Fairgray’s long running all-ages series published in New Zealand; sci-fi series”Adventure Van” by actor Michael McMillian (True Blood, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and Ryan Cody; and “Sparrow,” an all-ages series about violinist Lindsey Stirling and her dog Luna, written and drawn by Darick Robertson (“Happy!,” “The Boys”).

– Marvel editors Jordan D. White and Mark Paniccia are swapping franchises. White will take over the X-Men line, while Paniccia will take over the “Star Wars” books. White has been editing “Star Wars” since the franchise came to Marvel, and also just announced that he was leaving “Deadpool” as well.

Elisabeth Moss has been cast as the final lead in the upcoming adaptation of Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle’s “The Kitchen.” Moss joins Melissa McCarthy and Tiffany Haddish as a trio of wives of Irish mobsters who take over the business after their husbands are arrested. The film is scheduled for release on September 20, 2019.

– Dark Horse is collecting Matt Kindt’s “3 Story: The Secret History of the Giant Man” and “3 Story: Secret Files of the Giant Man” as “3 Story: The Secret History of the Giant Man (Expanded Edition).” “3 Story” tells the modern fable of Craig Pressgang, “whose strange medical condition causes continuous growth.”

– Makoto Yukimura’s historical fiction seinen manga “Vinland Saga” is getting an anime adaptation from Wit Studio, the animation house behind Attack on Titan.

– DC will be releasing an English translation of Shiori Teshirogi’s “Batman & the Justice League Manga,” that was serialized last summer in “Champion Red.” The 200-page single volume will be released on October 23.

“Mister Miracle” will have a skip month in June before issue #10, due to artist Mitch Gerads being a new dad.

– And if you’re in the mood for a longer read, New Statesman has a piece by cartoonist Michael Kupperman asserting that the increasing popularity of death tribute cartoons is signaling the decline of cartooning as art.
