In case you missed it yesterday, we ran an obituary for cartoonist Robert Grossman, Marvel announced a new Jim Starlin Thanos OGN, and Jodorowsky and Ladrönn’s “The Sons of El Topo” will be published in English.

– Mirroring a certain “Old Man” title, DC in a few months is offering up their own alternate future epic in “Harley Quinn” #42, which is titled ‘Old Lady Harley.’ The issue by writer Frank Tieri with art by Mauricet replaces the one previously solicited for April 18th, and looks from the preview to be a straight-up homage to a recent George Miller film about a post-apocalyptic adventurer.

– We almost got a George Miller directed version of Justice League back around 2006, tentatively titled ‘Mortal.’ Though it didn’t happen, it’s interesting in light of the Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon film that costume tests for the film we didn’t receive are beginning to emerge.

– 20th Century Fox released two new trailers for Deadpool 2, a NSFW version and this green band version that fills the racier parts with Wade and Cable fighting. ComicBook.com has a pretty thorough breakdown of the new characters appearing as “X-Force” in the trailer.

– TellTale Games released two Batman: The Enemy Within trailers showing just how vastly different the ending chapter of the story can be. The titles of the two trailers kind of give you a hint at the difference, the first being ‘Villain Joker,’ and the other, the tantalizingly titled ‘Vigilante Joker.’ The game’s final episode is out March 27th.

– Virtual reality company Felix & Paul Studios are developing an experience based Ramón Pérez’s “Tale of Sand,” itself an adaptation of an unfilmed screenplay by the late Jim Henson and Jerry Juhl.

– Chris Evans confirmed rumors today that Avengers 4 will be his last appearance as the character of Steve Rogers (formerly Captain America). In his own words at The New York Times, he is leaving the role because “You want to get off the train before they push you off…,” or in many a showman’s words, leaving them wanting more.

– Dark Horse Comics announced yesterday via press release that they will be printing a three volume spin-off of the popular manga series “Gantz” in English, with the first volume to hit shelves June 13th. The three volume series, “Gantz G” by Hiroya Oku and Keita Iizuka follow the afterlives of a group of teens killed in a lethal bus accident, while fighting a menacing array of aliens.

– Hajime Isayama hopes that the upcoming third season of Attack on Titan will change a few things he regrets doing in the manga. Isayama said on interviews included on the season 2 Blu-ray that he was disappointed with the manga stories he had written and drawn that were destined for season three, and had hopes to make some changes.

– Valiant Entertainment has hired a veteran comics industry executive Mel Caylo as their new Director of Marketing. Caylo, who was originally a staff writer for Wizard magazine promoting comics, has worked in marketing for many publishers over the last twenty years including most notably Top Cow Productions, Archaia Entertainment and BOOM! Studios.

– BuzzFeed News ran an intriguing in-depth article about the #ComicsGate group and the organized campaign of harassment that has been happening for years on social media against inclusion and diverse voices in comics. The article covers several of the higher profile incidents with an objective eye, showing a visual record of some of the exchanges between the victims and internet trolls who drove some off social media, as well as a few out of their jobs.

Frank Miller is going to be a part of the King Arthur Legend sometime in 2019. He will be providing both full color and black-and-white illustrations for author Thomas Wheeler (Puss in Boots)’s YA novel Cursed, starring Nimue, the 16-year old girl who wielded Excalibur before Arthur and goes on to become the Lady of the Lake.

– At Paste magazine, Lonnie Nadler and Zac Thompson provided a soundtrack list to the horror writing pair’s upcoming comic “Her Infernal Descent.” Nadler and Thompson’s choices of music for their emotion ladened riff of Dante’s Inferno range from the Apocalypse Now soundtrack, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and Black Sabbath, to Burt Bacharach and Vivaldi.
