– Marvel revealed that an event called ‘Death of the Venomverse’ is coming this summer as part of their celebrations for Venom’s 35th anniversary, referred to as the ‘Summer of Symbiotes.’ The announcement of ‘Death of the Venomverse’ came alongside the unveiling of all of the titles set to be involved with a promotional poster by Philip Tan and Brad Anderson, homaging the company’s 1990s swimsuit specials. The event’s eponymous limited series, “Death of the Venomverse,” will follow Carnage as he embarks on a mutliverse-spanning killing spree seeking an unrevealed goal; further details, such as the creative team, are expected to be announced at C2E2 on March 31-April 2.
– Top Cow announced a new five-part sci-fi horror series called “Haunt You to the End” by writer Ryan Cady, artist Andrea Mutti, and letterer Frank Cvetkovic. The miniseries will be set in the near future, when the world is plagued by climate disasters and societal uncertainty; there, a billionaire will gather together “a disgraced journalist, a radical doctor, a TV demonologist, and a squad of hard-bitten military contractors” to find out the truth about the world’s most haunted place, and discover if there is life after death. The press release likens the world of the story to 2004’s The Day After Tomorrow and Shirley Jackson’s The Haunting of Hill House. “Haunt You to the End” #1 is scheduled for release on June 14; you can check out a series of unlettered preview pages here.
– Image Comics announced it will launch “In Hell We Fight” by writer John Layman and artist JOK in June. The series, which was previewed in “Image 30th Anniversary Anthology” #10, will follow three teenagers and a demon who set out to steal a demon lord’s delivery truck, which results in them going on “an epic journey across the underworld.” Layman described the series as having “nonstop action, adventure and general weirdness, with loads of heart,” and JOK as being “probably the one person on Earth who can capture this unique balance of light and dark, horror and heart.” “In Hell We Fight” #1 has a release date of June 7; you can see JOK’s cover, Christian Ward’s variant cover, and three preview pages here.

The war is being fought between the animal kingdom and a “billionaire oil tycoon [who] has sinister machinations;” to help the animal kingdom to succeed, the protagonists will have to work in tandem with them. According to AIPT, the new edition will feature an introduction by Van Jones, “extra sketchbook pages and pinups,” and a new cover. “Planeta Blu Volume 1: The Rise of Agoo” will be released in book shops on October 31 and in comic shops on November 1.

Continued below– AMC provided updates regarding two upcoming The Walking Dead series:
– Further information regarding executive Victoria Alonso’s departure from Marvel Studios was reported and shortly disputed. THR reported that Alonso breached her contract with Marvel by producing Argentina, 1985, and for supporting the film during the awards season, but Alonso’s attorney, Patty Glaser, described the claims as “absolutely ridiculous,” saying Alonso had the “blessing” of Marvel to work on the film. Glaser stated that the decision to fire Alonso will have “serious consequences,” with “more” from the story behind her exit to be disclosed; a Disney spokesperson then responded by stating that Alonso is “sharing a narrative that leaves out several key factors concerning her departure,” specifically mentioning the previously reported claims that she had an “indisputable breach of contract and [had been in] direct violation of company policy.”
– Finally, actor Jonathan Majors was arrested and charged with assault and harassment on Saturday, following what the New York Police Department described as a “domestic dispute.” The NYPD said they made the arrest after a 911 call, and that a 30-year-old woman had been taken to the hospital afterwards with “minor injuries to her head and neck.” Majors’s lawyer stated they expect the charges to be dropped soon, claiming to have footage from where the alleged incident took place, witness testimonies, and written statements from the woman recanting the allegations. Majors, who portrayed Kang the Conqueror and his variants in Loki and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, was expected to reprise the role in 2025’s Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and 2026’s Secret Wars; Marvel Studios have yet to comment on the charges.
