– Kicking off, it was revealed today that Katie Cassidy will return to Arrow as a series regular again in season 6, but will not reprise her role as Black Canary, instead playing the Earth 2 doppelgänger Black Siren. She is the character Marc Guggenheim needs, but not that ones fans of that universe deserve #ripcanary.

– The Washington Post revealed today that the DC/IDW “Love is Love” anthology has raised over $165,000 for Equality Florida to benefit victims of The Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando last summer. The anthology was organized by Marc Andreyko and featured one to two page stories from a plethora of comic talent as well as a handful of celebrities, and has touched the lives of many even receiving a GLAAD nomination. It is currently headed to its fifth printing. “We just need to keep fighting the good fight,” Andreyko said, “and love will win.”

Paul Greengrass, the director of Jason Bourne has signed on to direct the movie Ness about the Cleveland Torso Murderer based on the graphic novel “Torso” from Brian Michael Bendis and Marc Andeyko. No actors have been announced yet for the film

– With Black Lightning moving ahead on the CW, it appears that Tony Isabella, the creator of the character Black Lightning, and DC Comics have reconciled with one another. Isabella and DC have shared some harsh words over Isabella’s compensation for the creation of the character, but it appears apologies have been accepted, and Isabella teased that he will be returning to DC with more details to be announced today.

“Deathstroke” will move to being a monthly title, rather than a twice-monthly series, starting in July following the epilogue of the crossover with “Titans,” and “Teen Titans” called “The Lazarus Contract.” DC Editor Alex Antone tweeted that this change would mark a “bold new direction” for the title with many speculating current writer Christopher Priest may be leaving the series. “Deathstroke” has been one of the best reviewed titles of Rebirth so it’d be a shame to see him go (unless we’re getting the go ahead finally on Milestone 2.0)

– People just can’t get enough of Harley Quinn with her fourth member of the DC Trinity status (I’m vomiting in my mouth as I write this). Mezco Toys today showcased a new Harley Quinn doll to be a part of their Living Dead Dolls series. All dolls in the series are 10 inches and come with their own coffin. Look for this creepy thing to drop this year to celebrate Harley’s 25th anniversary since her debut in Batman: The Animated Series.

– With Marvel revealing the full contents of the upcoming “Secret Empire” #0 to retailers, it’s only natural the fans get some preview action as well. A 7-page preview was showcased today marking the beginning of the shit hitting the fan for MCU as Hydra Cap puts his plan into full effect. “Secret Empire” #0 comes out April 19th.

– Ulises Fariñas, the writer of a new “Judge Dredd” comic for IDW which hits stores in April, revealed a pre-order site he personally created for the series as an experiment. All are welcome to preorder their copy of issue #1 from this site and it will ship directly to them with no middleman.
