Yesterday, we covered Marvel’s “Death of the Inhumans,” and Dark Horse’s “Terminator: Sector War,” which are both due to begin this summer.

– Ahead of the publication of Nicolas Wild’s “Kabul Disco” on April 4, Humanoids have officially announced their new imprint, Life Drawn, which focuses on graphic memoirs and other real life tales. In their press release, they also announced Clément Baloup’s “Vietnamese Memories: Leaving Saigon,” Mariko Tamaki’s adaptation of Carole Maurel’s “Luisa: Now and Then,” and Nancy Peña’s “Madame Cat” will also be part of the imprint. All of these books will be released by the end of July, and will mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of the publisher’s American arm.

– “Moon Girl” co-creator Brandon Montclare and “Unbeatable Squirrel Girl” artist Erica Henderson are teaming for “Secret Book Club,” a graphic novel series at Penguin Workshop. The series, due to begin in 2020, follows “seventh grader Paige, who finds herself at the center of a mystery: her grandfather, a librarian who created all the superheroes that dominate pop culture, has disappeared. As Paige searches for him with her new friends from her book club, they begin to realize that many of her grandfather’s characters live in their neighborhood.”

– Following the announcement that FX would not pick up the animated Deadpool series he was producing, Donald Glover tweeted “For the record: I wasn’t too busy to work on [the show],” providing a link to a 15-page script for the season finale. The tweet has since been deleted, though Vanity Fair reports the script, which had “Deadpool is on a mission in Kenya to protect the last male northern white rhino,” was too topical to seem real, but rather a jokey parting shot at the production.

– Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones, Narcos) has joined the cast of the Wonder Woman sequel in an unknown role. Pascal and director Patty Jenkins previously collaborated on the TV movie Exposed; the second Wonder Woman is due out November 1, 2019.

– The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission will put a historical marker to commemorate the life of Ham Fisher (1900 – 1955), the creator of the comic strip “Joe Palooka,” which ran from 1930 to 1984.

– First Second tweeted that they will be having paid internships in their editorial and marketing departments this summer. If you’re interested in applying, send a cover letter and resume to mail@firstsecondbooks.com.

– The Beat has a report on the potential repercussions a paper tariff could have on the American comics industry.

– Due to rising rental prices in London, Bloomsbury’s Cartoon Museum will be relocating to another district in the city, Fitzrovia. Cartoonist Martin Rowson announced the move at the opening of a new exhibition last night, stating they will relocate to a new building being developed by Great Portland Estates.

– Netflix have acquired the TV rights to Cursed, Tom Wheeler’s upcoming young adult novel about the Arthurian character Nimue, which is illustrated by Frank Miller. Miller and Wheeler will serve as both creators and executive producers on the show.

– Finally, Warner Bros. Animation released the first look at footage from their forthcoming adaptation, The Death of Superman.
