If you missed the news yesterday, Sam Humphries’s first Harley Quinn arc in July takes her to Apokolips, Aftershock Comics announced “Clankillers,” set in ancient Ireland, BOOM! Studios announced “Form of a Question,” a Jeopardy memoir, and as many people expected, Marvel confirmed the rumor that the the Fantastic Four are finally returning.

– BOOM! Studios announced a new hardcover OGN, “Petals,” from Eisner Award-nominated cartoonist Gustavo Borges. Colored by Cris Peter (“Casanova”), this story is a completely silent tale about a fox cub who befriends a bird during winter. “Petals,” which was originally published in Brazil by Kingpin Books last year, will be released under the KaBOOM! imprint in September.

– Toronto’s Portfolio Studios made a deal with Scott Christian Sava to create an animated series from his all-ages graphic novel “Pet Robots.” The TV series, targeted at six to nine year olds, tell the story of student who wanders off durring a field trip and accidentally activates a group of high-tech robots.

– Avery Hill Publishing announced their Fall 2018 publication schedule. The three books announced include “Retrograde Orbit” by Kristyna Baczynski in September, “Terrible Mess” by B. Mure in October, and a hardcover printing of Tillie Walden’s “A City Inside” in September.

– DC announced that two of the “Batman” side projects already delayed more than once are getting moved back again. The already delayed “Batman: The Signal #3”, is getting pushed back again and is now expected on April 25th. Kurt Busiek and John Paul Leon’s “Batman: Creature of the Night #3”, after being moved back just weeks ago, has been set back again to April 18th. The final issue of Busiek and Leon’s project has yet to be solicited.

– Caity Lotz, currently on Legends of Tomorrow, will be joining the cast of Arrow in the season six finale in the same role as Captain Sara Lance. What that means for the future of the team on Arrow we will just have to wait and see. In other DC TV casting news, on a different network, when Lucifer season three returns later this year Charlyne Yi will join the cast as a ‘ghost’ that only Ella, the CSI, can see. Yi previously appeared on House, Twin Peaks: The Return, Jane the Virgin, and Love, and does voice acting on Steven Universe.

– Margo Martindale, Bill Camp and Brian D’Arcy James will be joining the cast of upcoming adaptation of DC/Vertigo’s 1970s Hell’s Kitchen crime story “The Kitchen.” They join headliners Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish and Elizabeth Moss in the story of the wives of three Irish mobsters who take over running their husbands’ criminal enterprises after the FBI remove them from the picture.

– Former Smallville actress Allison Mack is expected to be arrested in relation to human slavery and sex trafficking. She has been connected to Keith Raniere, aka “Vanguard,” and his cult NXIVM in the blackmail and coercion schemes that he was arrested for on March 26th in Mexico. It is believed she conspired with Raniere and their financier Bronfman in their “brutal master-slave cult.”

Stan Lee’s Lucky Man is returning to Sky TV for a third season and TPub is publishing a tie-in comic to celebrate. The comic by writers Neil Gibson and Michael Gordon, with pencils by Atula Siriwardane, colors by Ellie Wright, and letters by Jim Campbell, will be available this summer when the third season starts. Bleeding Cool has a 16-page preview attached to the linked article.
