Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– In maybe the coolest news ever, Valiant has announced that Faith will be getting her own ongoing series this July. Her miniseries has been flying off the shelves and I’m glad Valiant have been able to see how important it is that superhero comics show diversity that isn’t just about sexuality or skin colour.
– Did Sony accidentally reveal the title to their 2017 Spider-Man film? There’s some speculation that a registered domain name linking to Sony’s website could reveal the title as Spider-Man: Homecoming, which was the title of Spidey’s post-“Secret Wars” story that pretty much kicked off the Venom Saga.
– Speaking of Spider-Man, Marvel’s given some more details to the ‘Dead No More’ storyline happening later this year including the fact that Dan Slott will be joined by Jim Cheung as the artist. That’s pretty cool. They’ve also released a solicit which is pretty non-sensical.
– In cooler news: Echo Kellum will be a series regular for the next season of Arrow so here’s hoping someone’s stitching him a FAIR PLAY jacket as we speak.
– Finally, X-Men: Apocalypse is a movie that’s happening. Here’s some posters for Psylocke, Storm and Angel.
