– DC unveiled the new miniseries connected to their upcoming ‘Knight Terrors’ event. The series will run from July to August and see heroes confronting their worst nightmares in a parallel “Nightmare Realm” over multiple two-issue miniseries. The first will be “Knight Terrors: First Blood” #1 from Joshua Williams and Howard Porter, which sees the DC Trinity discover the corpse of “one of their earliest enemies” in the Hall of Justice. The book, out on July 4, will see them call upon Boston Brand (aka Deadman) for help, and come into conflict with the villain Insomnia.

July 4 will also see “Knight Terrors: The Joker,” written by Matthew Rosenberg with art from Stefano Raffaele, where the Joker gets trapped in a 9-to-5 office job. The first issues of “Knight Terrors: Poison Ivy” and “Knight Terrors: Black Adam” will also drop that day. Writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Atagun Iihan will show us a suburban housewife Pamela Isley, while Jeremy Haun writes and draws the story of Black Adam defending Kahndaq from the encroaching nightmare wave.

The main “Knight Terrors” series, written by Williams, will feature art from Giuseppe Camuncoli, Stefano Nesi, and Caspar Wijngaard. Issue #1 is due out July 11, with issue #2 out on July 25. It will see Boston Brand and Batman (later joined by Wesley Dodds/Sandman) as they investigate the true identity of Insomnia, while avoiding his Sleepless Knights.

July 11 will also see “Knight Terrors: Harley Quinn” #1 from Tini Howard and Hayden Sherman, which features a backup story from Leah Williams and Ben Templesmith. “Knight Terrors: Punchline” #1 will also drop that day from writer Danny Lore and artist Lucas Meyer. The last book announced was “Knight Terrors: Angel Breaker” #1 from writer Tim Seely and artist Ackles Bright, where the title character and Raptor attempt to steal the dream powers of Doctor Destiny. You can read our original coverage of “Knight Terrors” here.

– Titan Comics has announced the newest volume of “Rivers of London.” The first issue of “Here Be Dragons” will be available on July 12. The compiled edition will be in stores on December 19. The story follows Peter Grant and Thomas Nightingale, who are pulled into a battle between human and fae hunters when a wyvern appears in the skies of London. The previous ten volumes are available through Titan as well. Ben Aaronovitch writes the new volume along with co-writer James Swallow, with artwork by José María Beroy.

– The University Press of Florida is set to publish “Tom Petty’s Dreamville: A Graphic Novel.” Written and drawn by Andre R. Frattino, the OGN will trace the career of the late rock ‘n’ roll icon, starting with his early days in Gainesville, FL. The book was created using interviews conducted with the musician’s friends and contemporaries. It will be available September 5. Frattino previously posted art of the book on his website under its original title, “Pettyville.”

– Marvel’s Free Comic Book Day offerings, “Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/X-Men” and “Free Comic Book Day: Spider-Man/Venom,” will be compiled into a single book titled “Marvel Zero.” The two FCBD releases will feature lead-in tales for the next chapter of the X-Men line (‘Fall of X’), as well as Jonathan Hickman and Valerie Schiti’s “G.O.D.S.” They will also feature starting points for the upcoming runs of “Spider-Man” and “Venom.” Free Comic Book Day is May 6 this year. “Marvel Zero” will be available on July 5.

– “The Complete Dick Tracy” Vols. 1-6 will be reprinted by Clover Press and the Library of American Comics, the publishers revealed. The new editions will have a larger trim size to match the subsequent 23 volumes, with rescanned art to offer sharper images. The books, which collect the original comics by Chester Gould from 1931 to 1936, were originally released by the Library of American Comics with IDW. The new edition of Vol. 1 will be released in September 2023, with an MSRP of $59.99.

– The nominees for the 83rd annual Peabody Awards were unveiled this week. Disney+ Star Wars series Andor clutched an Entertainment nomination alongside shows like Better Call Saul and Our Flag Means Death. Life is Strange: True Colors picked up an Immersive & Interactive nomination alongside Lucy and the Wolves in the Walls (based on the Neil Gaiman and Dave McKean book), and New Yorker VR project Reeducated. The ceremony will be held on June 11 at Los Angeles County’s Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

– Finally, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been delayed until February 2, 2024. In a statement released via Twitter, developers Rocksteady say they “made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players.” They thanked the community for their “support, patience, and understand,” adding “we look forward to seeing you in Metropolis next year,” Prequel tie-in comic “Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum” is still scheduled to begin on May 30 this year.
