The synopsis for this sequel reads, “After the falling out between Cal and Tara, love is lost and the fragile human-orc alliance has ripped at the seams. The Last Men Standing are sitting ducks without their healer and their enemies have multiplied. As ruthless Vangol and rogue orc dynasties stoke the flames of war, Tara could be civilization’s last hope for peace — but she may become a distant memory when a fresh face joins the battlefield.” “The Hunger and the Dusk: Book Two” #1 goes on sale on July 10, 2024, while the first volume will be collected on June 11. First, there is the five-issue series “Prodigy: Slaves of Mars,” which teams Mark Millar with artists Stefano Landini and Michele Assaraskorn. The book, which marks the third “Prodigy” comic, follows Edison Crane as he tries to solve his father’s murder. Next up, Millar will be teaming with Juanan Ramirez and Fabiana Mascolo for the six-issue “Night Club 2.” The book follows vampire superheroes Danny and Sam, who have fallen out because Danny is dating the girl Sam loves. “Night Club 2” #1 will be released August 21, 2024.
– In celebration of Wolverine’s 50th anniversary, Marvel have announced “Wolverine: Deep Cut,” written by Chris Claremont with art by Edgar Salazar. This four-issue series will see Claremont return to the era when the X-Men operated out of Australia, revealing a secret mission Wolverine set out on before the Reavers’ brutal attack that ended the team’s time in the outback in “Uncanny X-Men” #251. “Wolverine: Deep Cut” #1 will be available on July 3, 2024. The publisher also revealed a one-shot print edition of “Life of Wolverine,” releasing on the same day. The comic by Jim Zub and Ramón F. Bachs was originally released on Marvel Unlimited as an “X Lives/X Deaths of Wolverine” tie-in, and retells Logan’s life in chronological order.

More details on the new edition, collected in a series of deluxe oversized ‘treasury editions,’ will be revealed in the coming weeks.
– Deadline reports that Marvel underwent a handful of layoffs Monday, with 15 employees impacted across Marvel Entertainment in New York and Marvel Studios in Burbank. The cuts in Burbank include junior positions that come from reassessing and reducing the slate of movies that will be released, while in New York, the cuts stem from efficiencies gained from Marvel Entertainment’s integration into Marvel Studios and Disney. The cuts came a year after Marvel was reorganized to lay off chairman Ike Perlmutter, and the subsequent failed bids by his proxy Nelson Peltz to join Disney’s board of directors.
– Via ComingSoon.net, Skybound Entertainment have announced they are crowdfunding a new AAA game based on “Invincible.” The company reportedly had already raised $8 million before the initative, but hopes to raise $50,000 to $5 million more. Currently, the campaign, which has a minimum investment of $100, has raised $446,200. Fans can join through the investment platform Republic. While Skybound has been tight lipped about the game, they did indicate that fans of the show would know what to expect: “tons of action, stunning game and character design, and of course, a healthy dose of blood.”
