In case you missed it, Looney Tunes artist and “Ponytail” creator passed away, we had an exclusive preview of “Marvel Rising” #0 featuring some of Marvel’s younger characters, and Barnes and Noble will be adding a kids graphic novel section to their stores.

– IDW’s EuroComics imprint announced plans to publish a French graphic novel series featuring Sherlock Holmes’s younger sister Enola. When Enola wakes up on her 14th birthday to find her mother missing, she embarks on a her own adventures, despite Sherlock’s intent on making her a ‘proper’ lady. “Enola Holmes Volume 1: The Case of the Missing Marquess,” which writer and illustrator Serena Blasco adapted from Nancy Springer’s novels, will be released in October.

– According to Anime News Network, Wes Anderson’s Isle of Dogs will get its own manga from creator Minetarō Mochizuki. The film follows a young boy named Atari as he searches for his dog after all dogs are banned. The film was released in the United States on March 23, 2018, and will be out in Japan on May 25 2018. The manga will be “another story” for the film and will be released in three chapters from Kodansha’s Morning magazine, the first of which will appear in magazine’s 25th issue due out on May 24, 2018.

– Rebellion Publishing will launch a brand new, rebooted Roy of the Rovers series, based on the classic British soccer comic strip. Rob Williams and Ben Willsher are the creative team behind “Roy of the Rovers: Kick-Off,” an original graphic novel set to debut on September 6, 2018. It was also announced that best-selling British children’s author Tom Palmer will write Roy of the Rovers: Scouted, Rebellion’s first attempt at middle grade fiction, which will follow in October.

– Last week, ComicBookMovie.com reported that previously thought to be lost footage of the late Adam West’s Batman has been unearthed. The video, which shows Batman teaching children about pedestrian safety in the UK, has never been viewed in its entirety since it was broadcast. But thanks to thanks to an organization that specializes in the discovery and preservation of lost television segments named Kaleidoscope, the video will be made available for all to enjoy.

– Marvel’s Cinematic Universe can now rival its comic book counterpart, according to ComicBook.com. Joe Russo stated that Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s “Eight Years Later” title card was incorrect. The caption, which placed the events of the film and Captain America: Civil War eight years after The Avengers, prompted some confusion among fans, and led Kevin Feige to state that there will be a comprehensive timeline at some point in the future.

– And with Avengers: Infinity War hitting theaters this week, there has been much speculation about what’s in store for Phase Four of the MCU. At io9, Kevin Feige said the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming would begin filming this July. While he kept things close to the chest he did say that filming would take place in London, hinting that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be globe-trotting while fighting crime. The untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel opens July 5, 2019, and Avengers: Infinity War opens this Friday.

– We previously covered Fox2Detroit’s report about comic book writer/artist William Messner-Loebs and some of the hardships he has faced recently. You can go to his updated GoFundMe campaign to support the “Flash,” “Wonder Woman,” and “Batman” writer in anyway you can.

– James Roberts confirmed on Twitter that he will not be involved in IDW’s upcoming Transformers reboot, stating he “and Transformers are taking a break” after the publication of “Lost Light” #25 later this year.

– Manga “Rurouni Kenshin” will resume in June, having gone on hiatus after creator Nobuhiro Watsuki was arrested and fined for possession of child pornography. The editors at “Jump Square,” the magazine the comic is published in, claimed “The author spends his days reflecting and with remorse, and think as though it’s our obligation as a publisher as well as his as an author make a way for us to reply through the work to the various opinions we’ve been getting.”

– Finally, in even more disturbing news, Rolling Stone reports that Smallville’s Allison Mack has been arrested for reportedly having ties to the cult-like group NXIVM, whose leader, Keith Raniere, was arrested in March and charged with sex trafficking and forced labor conspiracy. She is expected to appear in Brooklyn Federal Court Monday for a bail hearing.
