– Via Engadget, it is rumored that North Korean animators may have skirted around U.S. sanctions to provide animation for several cartoons from Max and Amazon Prime Video, including Invincible. Researchers for the Washington-based North 38 Project allegedly discovered thousands of animation files in a cloud server on a North Korean IP address, which was accessed in three different Chinese cities. They indicated that it was unlikely that Max and Amazon or any subsidiaries knew that the animation was being handled by North Korean animators. Amazon has redirected all inquiries to Skybound Entertainment, who in a statement, said they were investigating the matter and cooperating with the proper authorities.
