– As Avengers: Infinity War approaches, we’re learning more about the production and what the MCU will look like after, mostly from studio president Kevin Feige. He has been making the rounds, revealing that “phases” may become a think of the past and that Parts 1 and 2 will no longer be filmed at the same time, but back to back. He also said that Avengers 4 does have a title, but that that releasing it now would be a spoiler. Apparently no one told Zoe Saldana, because she referenced the title in a press junket for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. If that really is the title, then I’m not sure how it qualifies as a spoiler since you would have to know what happens in the comics to even get what it’s referring to. I honestly thought that title (or similar) was a given. Bottom line? Just tell us the title, Kevin.
– In related news, Zoe Saldana also said during Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 press that she would “love” to be in the new Dune remake. The only detail we have right now about the film is that Denis Villeneuve will be directing.
– The first trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle was released and it looks like a promising follow up to 2014’s super fun Kingsman: The Secret Service. Everything about this looks great, including the added casting of Jeff Daniels, Channing Tatum, and Halle Berry. It also teases the return of Colin Firth’s Galahad, sporting his best Nick Fury look. The film opens on September 22.
– White Castle has a Hall of Fame and Stan Lee just got inducted into it last weekend. Confirming that yes, this is actually a thing, Vice President Jamie Richardson said of Lee, “It turns out, while we grew up on his comics, he grew up on our sliders. The Cravers Hall of Fame was founded to celebrate a shared love of White Castle, and, now Stan Lee will forever be celebrated among the elite Cravers!” In more comic related news, this event coincided with the grand opening of Lee’s new comic shop.
– A new Iron Man toy is giving us a peak at what the new suit will look like in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming. The suit looks a lot like the Ultimate Iron Man incarnation. The suit will appear in all its glory when the film premieres on July 7.
– Jon Bernthal and Tom Holland helped each other land their respective Marvel roles. Bernthal read lines off screen for Holland’s Spider-Man audition tapes, and Holland actually acted opposite Bernthal in his audition for Punisher.
– The season 5 finale of Arrow will finally see the flashbacks catch up with the timeline of the series pilot. Executive producer Wendy Mericle teased the possibility of a few deaths as well.
