– Kicking off, the last trailer for the upcoming Marvel and Freeform show Cloak & Dagger premiered yesterday. The newest trailer shows off more footage, and teases the death of one of the protagonists. The show premieres on Thursday June 7th, and you can find the final trailer here.

– First Second debuted the entirety of their winter 2019 catalog yesterday featuring 15 different graphic novels from a wide variety of genres and target audiences. From the complete boxset of Gene Luen Yang and Mike Holmes’ “Secret Coders” to a history of how weed became illegal in America, there’s something for everyone. You can find the entire slate here.

– Netflix has another comic book property in the works now with “Failsafe” by F.J. Desanto and Tom Farmer from Vault Comics. The adaptation will be scripted by Black Panther co-writer Joe Robert Cole and will be produced by Alana Mayo and (likely star) Michael B. Jordan through their Outlier Society Productions. Vault’s F.J. Desanto will also serve as a producer on the adaptation. The series follows John Ravane, a hunter of nanotech-enhanced super soldiers who thought he killed the last one.

– The graphic novel “Bolivar” from BOOM! Studios Arcahia imprint has also been picked up by Fox. The debut graphic novel from Sean Rubin follows a little girl in New York who learns her next door neighbor is the last dinosaur on Earth. The book was nominated for an Eisner Award this year for Best Children’s Comic.

Avengers: Infinity War continues to break records, and Marvel Studios president tweeted out a big thank you to fans who helped make the movie, and the universe, a success the last 10 years. Feige also debunked that Avengers 4 would carry the name Infinity Gauntlet. A new poster for Ant-Man and the Wasp also debuted yesterday ahead of the new trailer today.

– Blizzard released the first issue of “Rise of the Raven Lord,” the first comic based on Heroes of the Storm, the game uniting characters from Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, and Overwatch. Written by Valerie Watrous (Diablo III, StarCraft II) with art by Suqling and Peter Lee, the comic can be read here.

– Branwyn Bigglestone, the Controller at Image Comics, has left the company after ten years to pursue a Master’s degree in Accountacy. She has been succeeded by Nicole Lapalme. As well as overseeing Image’s financial matters, Bigglestone also edited several titles for the company, including “Alpha Girl,” “Danger Club,” and “G-Man.”

– New York Comic-Con is planning a number of stand-alone events outside of the con’s regular October show dubbed NYCC NOW. The first of these events will be a panel with Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally to talk their new book, “The Greatest Love Story Ever Told.” The event will be ticketed and take place May 31st at Brooklyn’s The Bell House.

– Ahead of the show’s record-breaking 636th episode, The Simpsons creator Matt Groening publicly addressed the criticism about the character of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, and the documentary The Problem with Apu, for the first time. Groening, when asked if the stereoptype was offensive, responded, “Not really. I’m proud of what we do on the show. And I think it’s a time in our culture where people love to pretend they’re offended.” The actorwho voices Apu, Hank Azaria, has offered to step aside if necessary.
