– “Head Wounds: Sparrow,” the “supernatural neo-noir” graphic novel co-developed by Moon Knight star Oscar Isaac, will be available August 9. Published by Legendary Comics (in collaboration with Rocketship Entertainment), the book was written by Brian Buccellato with art by Christian Ward. Jason Spire developed the OGN alongside Isaac, though Robert Johnson and John Alvey are the credited creators. While Legendary’s film division and Isaac’s production company Mad Gene has originally announced plans for a related live-action project, no such tie-in was announced at this time. “Head Wounds: Sparrow” follows corrupt detective Leo Guidry, who finds himself pulled into a world of warring angels and demons. Credited co-creator Johnson was a childhood friend of both Isaac and Alvey, who created the story while battling stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. You can view the motion trailer here.
