– This weekend at the MTV Movie and TV Awards the world was presented with a new clip from Spider-Man: Homecoming. The clip shows us the full scene, that we’ve seen glimpses of in the trailers, where Ned discovers Spider-Man’s identity. There’s also another scene attached which sees Peter interacting with a character named Michelle, in which he has to make up an excuse to leave and be Spider-Man.

– Director Doug Liman spoke to Cinema Blend about his upcoming film Justice League Dark and how he’s eschewing expectations. He said, “I think people will be surprised how character driven and how intimate Justice League Dark is — in kind of a field of bloated comic book movies. We’ve found a way to do something that’s actually really personal and small, and that’s my goal.” and then continued “For John Constantine, we have an amazing set up for him for Justice League Dark that’s really human.”

– Ken Bald has recently received his second Guinness World Record. The 96-year-old artist already held the record for oldest comic artist, but he has recently claimed the record for oldest artist to illustrate a comic cover, which was previously held by Joe Simon. The cover that won him the record was his variant for 2015’s “Contest of Champions” #2.

– Kevin Sacco, author and artist of “The Plane Story,” has announced his next project. “Josephine” will be a silent graphic novel set in the 1960’s which follows “the emotional journey of a young boy with a complicated family life as he discovers the realities of racial inequality during a journey from his Upper West Side comforts to his nanny’s home/neighborhood haunts in Harlem.” The book will use many of the same autobiographical techniques Sacco used in “The Plane Story” to tell a story that “recaptures the chaos and magic of this era.”

– Hong Kong-based Camsing International Holding has acquired Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment with the intent to “enhance Camsing’s comic intellectual property creation capability by working with Lee.” With the acquisition Lee will step down as CEO but stay on as CCO. Camsing’s United States Vice President Shane Duffy will step in as CEO.

– Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment has announced the Injustice 2 Championship series. They’re teaming up with ESL, Gamelta eSports Professional League, Gamestop, PS4, and Twitch to bring a program for bothe amatuer and pro players alike to North America, Europe and Latin America. Players are given a chance to compete in different programs for a portion of the 600,000 dollar prize pool and a chance to qualify for the series itself, which will take place in the fall.

– Valiant has announced “Divinity” #0, and “epic jumping-on” point for the modern Valiant Universe will be in stores August 16th. The issue will follow Abram Adams as he returns to Earth following its restoration at the end of “Divinity III: Stalinverse.” Valiant Editor-in-Chief described this as “a guided tour of what makes Valiant tick in 2017.” The issue will also lead into the already announced “Eternity” which launches in October.

– The full list of stories for May 31st’s “Wonder Woman: Annual” #1 has been released. As previously listed Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott will create a follow up story to “Year One” which shows Diana’s first meeting with Superman and Batman. Vita Ayala and Claire Roe will provide a story in which Diana has to save King Shark from execution in Markovia. Michael Moreci and Stephanie Hans will take Diana to see an “unnamed old ally of Steve Trevor” who has a “cursed monster form.” Finally Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing and David Lafuente will pit the Amazing Amazon against a large kaiju monster.

– After the success of Fresh Monkey Fiction’s Amazing Heroes Wave 1 and Wave 1.5, they’ve launches a Kickstarter to fund a Wave 2. The Kickstarter goal is 60,000 by June 5th, and the line would see the debut of creator-owned characters such as Madman, Jon Sable, and The Stray. The figures would have 5 “retro-style” points of rotation and be 4.5” tall.
