– Batwoman will be debuting in the CW’s Arrowverse crossover event this fall. “We’re incredibly excited to announce that we’ll be doing another crossover event that fall on CW, and we’ll be introducing a new character. For the very first time appearing, we’ll be fighting alongside Batwoman, which is terrific,” Stephen Amell said at the CW’s Upfronts presentation. The crossover will air in December. Gotham City will also be integrated into the Arrowverse.

– In other CW news: Arrow and Supergirl will move nights this fall as the CW expands its programming schedule which now includes Sundays. Arrow will be with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on Mondays, and Supergirl will be soaring to Sunday nights.

– Meanwhile, the fifth season of iZombie next year will be its last. Rose McIver tweeted, “So the fifth season of #iZombie will be our last. I am therefore committed and excited to make it the best one yet! Really proud to be on a show that celebrates the misfits and I pinch myself every day that I get to be a part of the iZombie world with you guys. Thank you.”

– In other DC news, “Batman” writer Tom King isn’t done with Booster Gold, teasing the time traveler will be the forefront of the DC Universe in an unknown project. He stated on Twitter, “The goal is to put Booster at the centre of the DCU. To give the popularity and respect he deserves as a character. To accomplish this goal, he will be stretched to his limits and he might break. But it’s all in service to the character and the story, I swear.”

– Finally at DC, the Gene Luen Yang-written “New Super-Man and the Justice League of China,” will be ending with issue #24 in June. Bernard Chang (“Batman Beyond”), who provides variant covers for the series, said on Twitter, “Here’s the variant cover to New Super-man 24, the final issue in what has been an amazing and fun-filled two-year ride, I’m so honored and proud to have shared in the experience with you through my craft. This issue comes out in June but just got the early go ahead to share #love.”

– Brian Michael Bendis exits Marvel with next week’s “Invincible Iron Man” #600.
Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada posted a public letter to Bendis on Facebook. He writes at the end of the statement, “Thanks for everything Brian from myself, everyone at Marvel and True Believers everywhere.”

– Writer Van Jensen (“The Flash,” “Green Lantern Corps”) has written a short graphic biography of Stacey Abrams, who is running for governor of Georgia. The comic, pencilled by artist Amber Bellerjeau with a cover by Nate Moore (“March”), can be downloaded here.

– Want more Riverdale? Well, Scholastic has acquired the rights to publish original fiction and companion books based on the CW series. The first book released will be Riverdale Student Handbook, an in-world guide which promises to deliver “everything you really need to know about surviving Riverdale High!” Then for the holiday season, Scholastic will release an original work of Riverdale young adult fiction, Riverdale: The Day Before – The Prequel Novel. That book will be written by Micol Ostow and told from multiple points of view by the ensemble of main characters. The book will also feature bonus material, such as Jughead’s arrest report, Hiram Lodge’s arrest report, and much more.

– From Cannes and Variety comes word Juan Pablo Raba, the star of Netflix hit series Narcos, will topline black comedy-horror film co-production I Love Zombies. Henry Rivero (El Comandante) will co-direct alongside César Oropeza (Puras Joyitas), author of both the screenplay and the graphic novel that inspired it. Scheduled to roll out next year, the project will be presented at BAM (Bogota Audiovisual Market).

– Lastly, Dan Mazeau (Wrath of the Titans) and Ryan Engle (The Commuter, Non-Stop, Rampage) are going to write Universal’s upcoming Cowboy Ninja Viking, for which Chris Pratt will play a man with three distinct personas, making him one unstoppable assassin. The film, based on A.J. Lieberman and Riley Rossmo’s Image comic, will be directed by Michelle MacLaren (Games of Thrones, Breaking Bad), and is slated for release June 28, 2019.
