Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– Excited for Riverdale? Well I am now after seeing the first image for the series, teasing the darker tone. Described as ‘”Archie Comics” meets David Lynch”, I’m very interested in what it might bring to the characters. Though, by the sounds of it, Archie’s “forbidden relationship” with Miss Grundy hints at a much stranger take on the characters than we might be expecting.
– The next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film is still a month or so away, but the LA Times has finally confirmed that Brad Garrett of Everybody Loves Raymond fame (would you call that fame?) will be voicing Krang. I am going to be first in line to see this trainwreck film. I can’t wait.
– Prepare to return to the madhouse as it’s been announced that both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City will be getting remastered in a bundle for Xbox One and PS4. I’m at least excited about diving back into City.
– With the first season of Legends Of Tomorrow wrapping up last night, there was a lot of conversation about who Patrick J. Adams will be playing. Well one character he won’t be playing is Alan Scott as confirmed by Marc Guggenheim himself. What’s more interesting to me is the idea that it seems like all Green Lantern characters are off the table for the time being, which is unsurprising. Guess those Hal Jordan teases in Arrow aren’t going to come to fruition any time soon, eh?
– Let’s take a look at a preview for “Han Solo” #1 which, sadly, is unlettered so it doesn’t give away any of Marjorie Liu’s dialogue, but does confirm that Mark Brooks knows how to draw a Star Wars comic.
