In case you missed it, we have exclusive previews of tomorrow’s “Superman: Leviathan Rising” and “Delver” #4.

– Drawn & Quarterly have acquired the print rights to Sophie Yanow’s Eisner Award-nominated webcomic “The Contradictions.” A memoir of Yanow’s time studying in Paris, “The Contradictions” is described as “a funny, incisive coming of age story about a queer college student figuring out her politics and identity while studying abroad.” The book will published sometime in 2020.
– Speaking of Eisners, Comic-Con International announced this year’s recipients of the Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award will be Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, Kyung Jeon-Miranda, and Lisa Wood. Miranda-Rodriguez, creator of the Puerto Rican superhero La Borinqueña, published the anthology “Ricanstruction: Reminiscing & Rebuilding Puerto Rico,” which raised funds for survivors of Hurricane Maria. Jeon-Miranda runs the La Borinqueña Grants Program that oversees which organizations receive the money, while Lisa Wood (aka artist Tula Lotay), is the founder of the Thought Bubble convention in Leeds, England. The awards will be presented during the Eisner ceremony on Friday, July 19.
– Bleeding Cool reported the two-part graphic novel based on Brandon Sanderson’s upcoming multimedia project Dark One has been delayed until 2020. The comic book, written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly with art by Nathan Gooden, was set for publication from Vault Comics earlier this year.
– Actor Matthew Modine will be attending a signing tomorrow with writer Jody Houser and cover artist Kyle Lambert to mark the launch of “Stranger Things: SIX.” The signing will be held at the Things From Another World shop in Universal CityWalk Hollywood from 5-8 PM. The new Dark Horse comic features Modine’s villainous Dr. Brenner before the events of the Netflix series, which returns for its third season on July 4.
– The Astana Times reports Aigul Kuspan, the Kazakh Ambassador in Belgium, received a gift in the form of the comic book “The Adventures of Jacques and Bil in Kazakhstan: The Treasures of Genghis Khan.” The book, written by French author and engineer Jacques Ortet, explores Kazakh history, culture, traditions and customs through the story of photographer Jacques and his talking bird Bil, who, together with their guide Dinara, go seeking for the treasure of Genghis Khan. The book was published in French last year, and plans are underway to release it in English and Kazakh too.
– Scottish singer Emeli Sandé’s new track “Extraordinary Being” will be featured in Dark Phoenix, reports Idolator. “Fox approached me about collaborating with them on a song for X-Men: Dark Phoenix,” she said. “I already had ‘Extraordinary Being’ in the works, and when I saw the film was blown away at how the lyrics of the song matched the journey of the lead character. It really felt like the perfect fit!” Dark Phoenix releases June 7, while Sandé’s third album, Real Life, is due out June 21.
– Finally, in news we missed from earlier this month, Lion Forge announced “Sheets” author Brenna Thummler will write and illustrate a follow-up, “Delicates.” A teaser for the sequel, due out August 2020, displayed a photographer capturing one of the ghosts from the story on film.
