Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Another day, another Wonder Woman story. It turns out that Patty Jenkins is not confirmed to direct the sequel as previously reported. While Jenkin’s contract does have an option for it, she was only signed for one film. Warner Brothers will probably wish they had signed her for both, seeing as the film has grossed over $240 million worldwide so far, and Jenkins will probably command a higher fee as a result.
– In other Wonder Woman news, co-star Robin Wright’s Antiope has been confirmed to appear in Justice League alongside Connie Nielson as Queen Hippolyta. Nielson said of their appearence, “[Wright and I] got to do more in Justice League as well. As sisters as well. Kind of badass as well.” I haven’t been able to see the film yet, but from what I hear, more Robin Wright can only be a good thing.
– British series Misfits will be remade for US audiences on the Freeform network. Ashleigh LaThrop (Sirens), Tre Hall (Rebel), Allie MacDonald (Orphan Black) and Jake Cannavale (Nurse Jackie) have been cast as four of the five leads. Misfits follows a group of teenagers in community service that gain super powers after getting caught in an electrical storm. The show will join Cloak & Dagger and New Warriors in Freeform’s expanding superhero television lineup.
– Papergirl Press is launching a new curated website for collectible, high-quality giclée prints from acclaimed comic artists and illustrators, called The Pushpin. The site will launch with work from comic creators Kate Beaton, Johnnie Christmas, Michael Cho, Valentine De Landro, Jeff Lemire, Kagan McLeod, Ryan North, and Chip Zdarsky, as well as illustrators Julia Breckenreid, Dani Crosby, Chloe Cushman, Jay Dart (as his alter-ego Granduncle Jiggs), Sarah Lazarovic, and Christian Northeast.
-High school reading staple To Kill a Mockingbird will be adapted into a graphic novel by artist Fred Fordham, who most recently drew ‘The Adventures of John Blake Vol. 1: Mystery of the Ghost Ship’ with His Dark Materials author Philip Pullman. The project has been approved by the estate of author Harper Lee, and is set for release in November 2018.
– Star Wars fans in the UK will get to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi a day earlier than expected. The film will now premiere on December 14 instead of the previously announced December 15. The really lucky ones are in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, where it premieres on December 13. With the time difference, that’s over two days that we here in the states have to avoid spoilers.
– The new Hellboy reboot will begin shooting in September. New star David Harbour is getting into the spirit by posting a photo of himself getting fitted for the Right Hand of Doom, and even having dinner with previous Hellboy actor Ron Perlman.
– San Francisco Giants right fielder Hunter Pence, along with Comic Book Men co-star Ming Chen, and a few others will be launching a new comic shop in Houston, Texas called Coral Sword: Coffee, Comics, and Games. The new store will have “indie board games, a curated comic selection, and specialty coffee and tea.”
– South Korean star Rain has dropped out of X-Men: Dark Phoenix, due to scheduling conflicts. Rain previously starred in Speed Racer, Ninja Assassin, and The Prince.
