In case you missed it, Bad Idea announced they will cease operations by the end of the year, and Marvel unveiled the upcoming “Death of Doctor Strange” miniseries.

– Per a press release, Graphic Mundi has signed an exclusive deal with comic distribution giant Diamond. Diamond will be the sole distributor of the Penn State University Press comic imprint in North America, which launched in spring of this year with “COVID Chronicles: A Comics Anthology.” Upcoming titles “Hakim’s Odyssey, Book 1: From Syria to Turkey” and “A Chance” will find their way to comic markets under this new deal.

– Right in time for Loki’s Disney+ debut tomorrow, General Mills is releasing a “mischievously delicious” brand of Lucky Charms. “Loki Charms” will be a limited edition cereal, with only 3500 boxes available starting on Wednesday, June 9 at 11am EST. Though 1000 early access boxes are available to fans who can crack the encryption code at MischieviouslyDelicious.com. Each box is $8.

– The newest My Hero Academia film has a release date. My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission is scheduled to hit Japanese theaters on August 6. No overseas release date has been announced as of yet. This will be the third animated film in the franchise based on the manga and anime of the same name.

– In an unexpected creative team change, Ed Brisson has joined Nick Spencer as co-writer on “Amazing Spider-Man” starting with issue #68. Marvel has yet to release a formal statement announcing the addition, though the credit was included in advanced previews of the issue. Carlos Gomez and Ze Carlos will also join regular “Amazing” artist Marcelo Ferreira as co-pencilers. “Amazing Spider-Man” #68 is scheduled to hit shelves tomorrow.

– Fans of Amazon Prime’s The Boys can get their first glimpse of Supernatural star Jensen Ackles as World War II-era hero Soldier Boy. Ackles himself posted a close up of the character’s shield on his Instagram, adding “every dent, every scratch, every mark tells a story. A story that ends with me, winning.”

– ShortBox announced via Twitter that Naomi Butterfield’s demon romance comic “Before Dawn” will be released exclusively through the publisher’s Patreon. ShortBox founder Zainab Akhtar called the comic “a small whirlwind of a journey” filled with “ethereal yet inedible atmospheric beauty.” Butterfield thanked Akhtar on her Twitter for letting her “get indulgent.”

– Larry Hama will pencil the cover for the fifth and final issue of writer/artist Rob Liefeld’s “Snake Eyes: Deadgame” next month. Hama is best known for writing the original “G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero” Marvel comic, starting in 1982, and continues to pen the series’ continuation at IDW. Liefeld also announced that “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” co-creator Kevin Eastman would be involved as well, joining a list of creators ranging “Invincible” artist Ryan Ottley and the legendary Neal Adams. “Snake Eyes: Deadgame” hits shelves July 7.

– Finally, Snuffles, the battle mech equipped pup from Rick and Morty, is getting his own one-shot from Oni Press. “Rick and Morty Presents: Snuffles Goes To War” will see the Canine Empire engulfed in a cosmic battle. The book is written by Chris Daniels with art from Devaun Dowdy in his comics debut. Leonardo Ito will handle colors and letters will be provided by Crank! “Rick and Morty Presents: Snuffles Goes To War” hits shelves October 6.
