– So there’s a twitter account claiming to know what Fox is going to be titling the upcoming Wolverine movie. I know, I know. Take this with the biggest grain of salt imaginable, but they claim the title is either going to be Wolverine: Weapon X or simply Weapon X. This would make sense given the end credits scene to X-Men: Apocalypse and the rumours of a female Wolverine being brought in to replace the aging Hugh Jackman. Guess we might see X-23 in a move after all?

– Speaking of recasting, Gotham is doing one of its own. Do you remember the character of Ivy Pepper? Of course you don’t, nobody watches Gotham. But Ivy Pepper was this redhead girl cutting about with young Selina Kyle in the show and has been routinely hinted to be Poison Ivy even though that would be the dumbest thing ever. Now, the show is apparently just scrapping that idea and casting an adult Poison Ivy for Season Three. Which means an adult Poison Ivy is running around Gotham when Bruce Wayne is a teenager. Great. Thanks, Gotham. You’re the best.

– Speaking of the best, Injustice 2 isn’t. Okay, I’ll stop that, but we got a gameplay trailer for the game and it turns out it looks the exact same as the first game. In fact, graphically it looks much worse with costume designs for the characters that are apparently customised by the player that look like they were designed by Tetsuya Nomura/. That’s not a good thing, by the way.

– In some good news that actually isn’t comics-related, Blizzard has announced that there will be a series of cinematics released to tie into the upcoming World Of Warcraft: Legion expansion. They previously released ‘Lords Of War’ for Warlords Of Draenor and obviously the animated shorts that tie in to Overwatch have been super popular, so this should hopefully be cool.

– Finally, I don’t have any solid proof that the popularity of From Software’s Souls games, that heavily reference Kentaro Miura’s “Berserk”, have created a resurgence in popularity for the manga, but I’d bet that it has. Given that, Koei Tecmo has announced a “Berserk” video game with an incredibly NSFW trailer that’s just tentacle porn of Casca which is actually just the most “Berserk” thing ever. I just hope I get to kill the shit out of Griffith in the game. Over and over and over again.

Alice W. Castle

Sworn to protect a world that hates and fears her, Alice W. Castle is a trans femme writing about comics. All things considered, it’s going surprisingly well. Ask her about the unproduced Superman films of 1990 - 2006. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Twitter: @alicewcastle
