– The Ringo Awards, named after the late writer Mike Wieringo (“The Flash,” “Fantastic Four”) will replace the Harvey Awards that are annually presented at Baltimore Comic Con. According to details listed on ringoawards.com “the Ringo Awards include fan participation in the nomination process along with an esteemed jury of comics professionals.” Over 20 categories will contain nominations with the winners being announced at an awards ceremony Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Baltimore Comic-Con.

– Scarlett Johansson mentioned to Stephen Colbert during an appearance on the Late Show about the incredibly larger superhero cast that will be in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War film: “I think at one point 61 or 62 Marvel characters in it,” Johansson said. Further, Johansson said in “one particular scene, there’s like 32 of us. There’s a lot.” Obviously none of this is confirmed, but we can certainly anticipate the largest superhero ensemble movie to date with Avengers: Infinity War, which is due out next year.

– Writer Scott Snyder (“Batman,” “Wytches”) tweeted the cover to “Dark Nights: Metal #1″ drawn by artist Greg Capullo (“Batman,” “Spawn”). The series will be written by Snyder and illustrated by Capullo. “Dark Nights: Metal” has been described by the creative team as a Batman “rock ‘n’ roll epic” and will tie into the upcoming ‘Dark Matter’ imprint launching later this year.

– Marvel’s “Secret Empire” is going to continue for one more issue. September will see the release of “Secret Empire Omega” #1 written by the event’s writer Nick Spencer (“The Fix,” “Ant-Man”) and illustrated by Steve McNiven (“Wolverine,” “Captain America“). This is believed to be the last issue for Marvel’s summer event.

– DC is set to release a celebratory one shot “Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary Special” this September. “Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary Special” is scheduled for release nearly 25 years to the day after “Joker’s Favor” first aired. On September 11, 1992, the ‘Joker’s Favor’ episode of Batman: The Animated Series aired on Fox Kids, this was the first appearance in any medium of Harley Quinn. Creators contributing to the one-shot include the titles current creative team Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti and artist Chad Hardin, as well as co-creatorPaul Dini, and the team of Chip Zdarsky (“Sex Criminals,” “Howard the Duck”) and Joe Quinones (“America,” “FF”). It is worth noting that the “Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary Special” marks Zdarsky’s first work for DC Comics.

– According to an ominous tweet from the producers of Attack On Titan, we are going to get a season 3 at some point in 2018. No further details have been released.

– Novelist Brian Keene stoked the fire of speculated more by tweeting out four more teasers, hinting at possible DC work. We previously discussed the first four teasers in Friday’s Rundown.

– DC and NBC have released an unaired episode of its now canceled sitcom Powerless featuring Adam West. In memory of West’s recent passing, DC and NBC are offering the episode featuring West for free and available in its entirety for a limited time.

– Jack Kirby will be posthumously honored by the Walt Disney Company at the company’s upcoming D23 Expo in Anaheim, California this July. Kirby will be honored as a Disney Legend, “a hall of fame designation awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to the company’s success.” The award is almost solely based on his contributions to Marvel which now fall under the Disney umbrella but it is worth noting that Kirby did work directly for Disney between 1979 and 1980, when he adapted the Disney’s movie The Black Hole for the company’s syndicated comic strip “Walt Disney’s Treasury of Classic Tales.”

– After the recent announcement that Supergirl co-creator Ali Adler was leaving her role as co-showrunner it is now reported that Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner will be joining Andrew Kreisberg as season three showrunners. Kreisberg has been the co-showrunner since the show’s inception. Queller’s previous work includes Felicity and Gilmore Girls, while Rovner’s previous work includes Private Practice and Crossing Jordan. Supergirl is set to return for a third season on October 9th.

– Amy Pascal, a former Chairperson of Sony and producer on Spider-Man: Homecoming, has expressed her vision of a shared Spider-Man universe. According to Pascal “Venom and Black Cat movies will exist in the same universe as Tom Holland’s Spider-Man that was introduced in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War.” Pascal also went on to say that Spider-Man could even make appearances in these films. These quotes were given during a recent interview Pascal gave alongside Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Cinema, in anticipation for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Her comments have not yet been confirmed on any substantial level.

– Vault Comics has released a preview of two new titles debuting later this year: “Spiritus,” a sci-fi thriller from writer Tim Daniel (“Enormous”) and artist Michael Kennedy (“An Arrow From Hell”) will be arriving in August. Also, “Deuce Of Hearts,” a comedy that offers “a fantastic twist” on dating apps, from writer Ricardo Mo (“Colossi”) artist Tony Gregori (“Karma Police,“) arrives in September.
