In case you missed it, “Dick Tracy” is back at IDW, Lion Forge announced two new imprints aimed at gamers and middle-grade readers, and Dark Horse is set to publish “Stranger Things” tie-ins.

Oni Press announced their Spring 2019 graphic novel line-up, including an omnibus edition of Brahm Revel’s “Guerillas” and a collection of Sarah Graley’s ongoing webcomic “Our Super Adventure: Press Start to Begin.”

– IDW will publish “Impossible, Incorporated,” a five-issue series written by J.M. DeMatteis with art by Mike Cavallaro (“Decelerate Blue”), starting in September. The all-ages book follows a 17-year old girl named Number, the daughter of a supergenius who inherits her father’s company, and the train they built that can traverse time and space (including other realities). There’s more in the exclusive announcement at Bleeding Cool.

– In a preview of Archie Comics’ full September solicitations, Newsarama revealed that Jamie Lee Rotante’s “Betty & Veronica: Vixens” ongoing, which re-imagined Betty and Veronica as the leaders of a biker gang, will end with September’s issue 10.

– Noted Tom and Jerry cartoonist Oscar Martin will see his own comic series, “SOLO: The Survivors of Chaos,” published by Statix Press this September. As The Beat details, “SOLO” tells the story of an Earth ravaged by nuclear war and the mutant animals who wander the wasted remains.

Newsarama shared the list of 2018 Inkwell Award winners, who were recognized for excellence in the field of comics inking. Scott Hanna took home the awards for both Favorite and Most-Adaptable Inker, while Joe Giella and Bob McLeod were inducted into Inkwell’s Joe Sinnott Hall of Fame.

– Russian cartoonist Denis Lopatin is seeking political asylum in France, after fleeing Russia in February. As Meduza.io says, Lopatin displayed a caricature of State Duma deputy Natalia Poklonskaya at a protest last October, and Poklonskaya lobbied to have the caricature classified as hate speech.

– Jessica Parker Kennedy’s formerly mysterious The Flash character has been promoted to a series regular for season five. For more of the possibly spoilerific details, click over to Entertainment Weekly.

Black Panther won several gongs at MTV Movie & TV Awards, including Best Movie, Best Performance and Hero (for Chadwick Boseman), and Best Villain (Michael B. Jordan). Wonder Woman won Best Fight for the No Man’s Land sequence, while Riverdale‘s Madelaine Petsch was voted Best Scene Stealer.

– Publisher Hot Key Books will publish “Women in Battle,” a graphic novel detailing and celebrating 150 years of feminism. The book, written by Marta Breen and illustrated by Jenny Jordahl, will feature “stories of heroic women from all over the world, including Iran, Pakistan, New Zealand, France, and the US,” according to the info at TheBookSeller.com.

– Controversial SHAZAM! storyline ‘The Monster Society of Evil’ is scheduled to receive a reprint next February, reports Newsarama. Allegedly, the iconic story had not been reprinted previously due to its use of offensive racial stereotypes. The reprinted edition will feature new essays by Fawcett Comics expert P.C. Hamerlinck and comics historian Michael Uslan.

DC announced that Sting will pen the foreword to their “Constantine, Hellblazer: 30th Anniversary Celebration” collection and shared a video of the legendary rocker, who inspired Constantine’s look, wearing John’s signature trenchcoat. The collection hits stores October 30.

– And finally, Walking Dead alum Jon Bernthal is set to reprise the role of Shane for at least one episode during the show’s ninth season, according to TV Line.
