In case you missed it, “Deadpool” artist Bong Dazo passed away last week, at the age of 53, and the Firefly crew is coming back in a new, ongoing series from BOOM! Studios.

– We’re not going to spoil “Batman” #50 for you, but thanks to DC and The New York Times, a number of details on tomorrow’s Batrimony are already available. As the internet processed the information, some outlets and creatives examined the state of comic book spoiler culture, including The Times itself and former “Amazing Spider-Man” scribe Dan Slott. DC, for its part, offered an unofficial statement on why it released spoilers so early in the week, according to ComicBook.com.

– Sony Pictures picked up the film rights to Joe Henderson and Lee Garbett’s “Skyward,” the recently debuted Image comic that tells the story of an Earth with low gravity, reports Variety. Rampage director Brad Peyton will be directing, with Henderson adapting his own script.

Mashable revealed the release date for the Thief of Thieves video game, based on Robert Kirkman and co.’s comic of the same name. The weekly episodic game, which will focus on Celia’s training to become a master thief, releases the first two of four installments on July 16.

The Calgary Herald talked to writer/artist Ben Rankel about his upcoming graphic novel, “Frank,” which uses the Frank landslide of 1903 as the backdrop for a murder mystery and an examination of Alberta’s past. “I’m interested in telling stories that are set here, in Calgary and Alberta, and strengthening the awareness of our own history in our province and by doing that, hopefully, helping figure out what our culture is here and how we define ourselves,” said Rankel in the interview. “I think the best way to do that is by telling our own stories.”

The A.V. Club ran down their favorite comics of 2018 (so far), giving a nod to “Mech Cadet Yu,” “My Boyfriend Is a Bear,” the new “Nancy,” and “Prism Stalker,” among others.

The official Star Wars website announced the 2018 Star Wars Fan Awards, which will allow cosplayers, fan-film makers, and other creatives in tune with the Force to vie for official, Lucasfilm-acknowledged fame and glory. The winners will be announced on The Star Wars Show later this year.

– “Bleach” characters Rukia Kuchiki and Sosuke Aizen will feature as playable characters in Bandai Namco’s Jump Force video game, according to Anime News Network. The game, which is essentially Marvel vs. Capcom for “Shonen Jump” characters, was already confirmed to include such mainstays as “Dragon Ball”‘s Goku, “One Piece”‘s Luffy, and “Naruto”‘s Naruto and Sasuke.

– Marvel announced three more “Infinity Warps” mash-up miniseries spinning out of this Fall’s “Infinity Wars” event, starring Weapon Hex (a cross between Scarlet Witch and Wolverine), the Arachknight (Spider-Man and Moon Knight), and Ghost Panther (Ghost Rider and Black Panther). Newsarama has the available details.
