– Howard Chaykin gave an interview to the editors of the FreakSugar blog about the controversy stirred up again by the “Divided States of Hysteria” issue #1 and the cover of #4. Chaykin talked at some length about his intent and inspiration behind the title and it’s content and his hopes to stimulate conversation. He also included some choice comments about his peers that took him to task on his book.

– Tom Holland’s tenure as Spider-Man may well last at least five films, according to Kevin Feige of Marvel Entertainment. Holland’s story arc that started in Captain America Civil War will directly impact his first solo film hitting theaters in the US this Friday. ‘Homecoming’ developments will further lead into his role in Avengers: Infinity War, its sequel and the yet to be named sequel to Spider-man Homecoming.

– Speaking of Holland, he recently called Avengers: Infinity War “the biggest movie of all time.” That may seem hyperbole, but with Scarlett Johansson’s mention of a scene with 30 named heroes, the movie it will obviously feature a large cast. Reportedly, every character that has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far will make an appearance.

– “X-Men: Blue” writer Cullen Bunn talked to Marvel.com to talk about the return of Emma Frost in this week’s issue 7. He addresses fans’ concerns that she won’t be returning as a hero after the events of “Inhumans vs X-Men,” as well as mentioning the return of Polaris and more in the “Secret Empire” storyline.

– Last weekend, almost the entire voice cast of Justice League, the beloved animated series, reunited for a live reading at Denver Comic Con. Kevin Conroy, Michael Rosenbloom, Phil Lamar, George Newbern, Susan Eisenberg and Maria Canals-Barrera, joined by Brian Cummings, filling in for Carl Lumbly, read the series finale of the original series, before it shifted to Justice League Unlimited. The video for that event is now available to watch online.
