In case you missed it, Daniel Warren Johnson is set to launch the bananas-looking new series “Murder Falcon” at Skybound, and the current “Archie” series is reverting to legacy numbering and getting a new creative team with issue 700. We also spoke to Alex de Campi and Victor Santos about their new graphic novel, “Bad Girls.”

– European publisher Humanoids announced the second wave of titles for its Life Drawn imprint, which focuses on personal, real-world driven narratives. Paste has the full line-up, which includes “Marilyn’s Monsters” by Tommy Redolfi, “Kabul Disco: How I Managed Not to Get Addicted to Opium in Afghanistan” by Nicolas Wild, and “Vietnamese Memories Book 2: Little Saigon” by Clement Baloup.

– Chicago’s C2E2 comic convention is moving forward one week in 2019, to the weekend of March 22-24. According to Newsarama, the move was made primarily to avoid competition with Chicago’s Star Wars Celebration (which will also take place in McCormick Place), though the shift also means C2E2 will no longer fall on the same weekend as California’s WonderCon and Kansas City’s Planet Comicon.

– Newsarama also brings word that Dark Horse has started a new line of direct-to-consumer collectibles, called Dark Horse Direct, and that the “Tokyo Ghoul” video game, titled Tokyo Ghoul: Call to Exist, is coming to North America.

– Following up on that “Archie” news from above, the New York Times article announcing the new, old numbering also hinted at a number of new television projects in the works for Archie and the gang, including a couple of animated series and a live-action detective series starring Sam Hill.

– The much-delayed The New Mutants movie (which is scheduled to hit theaters in August 2019) will feature Marilyn Manson’s recently released cover of Cry Little Sister somewhere in its soundtrack. You can listen to the cover and watch the music video over at ComicBookMovie.com.

Ryan Reynolds announced a “Super Duper Cut” of Deadpool 2 via Twitter, with a release date of August 7 for digital and August 21 for Blu-ray.

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Billy Dee Williams will reprise the role of Lando Calrissian for Star Wars: Episode IX, joining stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver for the J.J. Abrams-helmed finale to Disney’s first Star Wars trilogy.

Deadline reported that Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s J.B. Smoove is set to star in Spider-Man: Far from Home, the follow-up to 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. No word on what part Smoove will play, though Deadline reports that Smoove will be “a lead in the ensemble.”

– And in one last piece of movie casting news, Deadline also reports that Hawkeye himself, Jeremy Renner, is set to join Blumhouse’s adaptation of “Spawn,” joining star Jamie Foxx. Renner will play “Twitch” Williams, one of two NYPD detectives who aid Spawn in his fight against evil.

– Finally, “Dragon Ball Z” creator Akira Toriyama is making the contentious, out-of-continuity Saiyan, Broly, canon within the series, though the character will be reworked. For more details of how Broly will factor in to the new Dragon Ball Super movie coming this Winter, head over to ComicBook.com.
