In case you missed it, Mark Waid and Peter Krause are producing a new “Irredeemable” series for BOOM! Studios.

– “Dark Crisis: Worlds Without a Justice League – Green Arrow” #1 will reveal ”major secrets” about the “Dark Crisis” crossover. The synopsis for the one-shot, available on October 11, states, “When the Justice League went toe-to-toe with Pariah’s Dark Army, Green Arrow was fatally wounded by Doomsday… so how did he wake up on a world tailored to his every desire? And what dark bargain has Black Canary made to will these worlds into existence?” Writer Stephanie Phillips and artist Clayton Henry handle creative duties. It also features a backup story by writer Dennis Culver and artist Nik Virella.
– Fangoria is hosting its first webcomic, “Where Wolf.” Written by Rob Saucedo, with art by Debora Lancianese and letters by Jack Morelli, the twelve-chapter horror-comedy debuted on Wednesday. It follows a reporter named Larry Chaney going undercover in a small Texas town furry convention, to track down a possible werewolf. Saucedo lists Fletch and Kolchak: The Night Stalker as influences. “Where Wolf” has already been optioned for film, podcast, and television development by Rick and Morty producer James Fino and First Date producer Charles Horak. – Pantheon Graphic Library is set to publish Art Spiegelman’s autobiography “of sorts.” A new edition of “Breakdowns: Portrait of the Artist as a Young %@&*!” is set to release on November 29. Originally released in 1977 by Belier Press, “Breakdowns” reprints his underground comic of the same name, but also includes sections about Spiegelman’s youth, and an essay on the state of the comic industry since the 1970s.
– “Kings of Nowhere” will return with a second volume. Written and drawn by Soroush Barazesh (aka Koteri Ink), the Dark Horse series follows 11-year old Dante, who must defend his family in from local criminal gangs. Volume one will be available in comic shops this September and bookstores the following October. Volume two can be purchased in comic stores March 15, 2023 and in bookstores March 28, 2023.
– “Moon Knight Annual” #1 will see Marc Spector reunite with Jack Russell, the Werewolf by Night. The double-sized issue, written by Jed McKay with art by Federico Sabbatini, sees Russell seeking the blood of the Fist of Khonshu to free those bound to servitude of the Moon. The annual goes on sale October 26, with cover art from Rod Reis.
– Daniel Kaluuya will not reprising his role as W’Kabi in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. According to reports, Kaluuya stepped down due to scheduling conflicts, as he was filming Jordan Peele’s Nope. Production on Wakanda Forever wrapped in March, and the film is due out in theaters on November 11.
– Star Trek: Lower Decks is set to return on August 25. The third season will be ten episodes, premiering on the Paramount+ streaming service every Thursday. The new season was announced with promotional artwork reminiscent of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. This is the first of several upcoming Star Trek announcements, with more planned for San Diego Comic-Con on July 23.
– Finally, Tarachine John is adapting the Netflix series Sex Education as a manga. The manga will be available on Comic Bridge starting this Friday.
