In case you missed it, DC Comics have announced the six-issue miniseries “Gotham: Year One,” and “Judge Dredd” and “Batman” writer Alan Grant has died at 73. We also have an exclusive preview of Marvel’s upcoming “Gambit” #1.

– DC Comics has revealed that their current crossover event has a secret title: “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths.” The publisher used the “Dark Crisis” panel at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday to reveal that the limited series from Joshua Williamson and Daniel Sampere is actually a sequel to the original legendary series “Crisis on Infinite Earths” by George Pérez and Marv Wolfman. “We’ve kept the real name a secret from the start because we didn’t want to give away what was happening in the middle of the story, with the return of the Infinite Earths,” said writer Joshua Williamson. The first three issues of the artist-formerly-known-as-“Dark Crisis” will be reprinted with the newly announced full title. DC also used the panel to highlight a wave of tie-in books for the event, including “Dark Crisis: The Deadly Green” from writers Ram V, Joshua Williamson, Dan Watters, and Alex Paknadel and artist Daniel Bayliss; “Dark Crisis: The Dark Army” from Mark Waid, Dennis Culver and Delilah S. Dawson; and “Dark Crisis: War Zone” from Jeremy Adams and Stephanie Williams. “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths” charges towards its conclusion with issue #5 of 7 hitting shelves on August 30.

– Two big Power Rangers announcements came from BOOM! Studios at San Diego Comic-Con. First, ComicBook.com has the news that the new creative team for “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” beginning with issue #101 will be writer Melissa Flores (“Power Rangers,” “The Dead Lucky”) and artist Simona Di Gianfelice (“All-New Firefly”). “Being able to write ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ is a literal dream come true, and I can’t stop pinching myself,” said Flores. Issue #101 will feature the start of the new ‘Recharged’ era, and will see the Rangers reuniting for a “bold new adventure.” Mateus Manhanini provides the main cover, with variants coming from Bon Bernardo, Francesco Tomaselli, David Mack, and Dani Pendergast. “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” #101 recharges in October.

– The second piece of Power Ranger news from the convention: the crossover “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” is getting a sequel later this year. Via ComicBook.com, the team of Ryan Parrott and Dan Mora will reunite for the book. Details are light on what will bring the two iconic teams back together again, with the announcement only saying that the teams will unite to “save the world from a rising danger that threatens to bring both teams to the brink.” “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II” powers up in December.

– Scott Snyder’s recently launched IDW creator-owned line, dubbed Dark Spaces, is continuing to expand. Via AIPT, the monthly series “Dark Spaces: Good Deeds” comes from writer Che Grayson and artist Kelsey Ramsay. “One of our primary goals with the ‘Dark Spaces’ line is to champion up-and-coming talent,” Snyder said, “and I’m particularly thrilled to be working with Che Grayson, an explosively talented writer and filmmaker, and the exceptional artist Kelsey Ramsay.” The story follows a teenager and her mother who move to a new town in Florida, only to discover a supernatural history wrapped up in the town’s violent obsession with the Fountain of Youth. “Dark Spaces: Good Deeds” launches sometime in 2023. “Dark Spaces: Wildfire,” the first title in the line, launched this week.

– Via CBR, Dark Horse intends to reprint Richard Corben’s “Murky World” and “Den” in deluxe hardcover editions. The new editions will include never-before-seen content, as well as introductions by several industry creators. “Murky World” – which is getting its first complete collection – follows Tugat the warrior as he wakes and finds himself in “a bizarre land populated by hungry deadlings, cruel necromancers, buxom cyclops, evil cults, and more.” The hardcover features an introduction by “Hellboy” creator Mike Mignola, as well as Corben’s “Dark Horse Presents” one-shot. “Den: Neverwhere” follows the adventurer Den into the fantasy world of Neverwhere, in a saga “brimming with horror, magic, and violence.” José Villarrubia will restore the art and write the forward, with Nate Piekos of Blambot handling the re-lettering. Actor and comedian Patton Oswalt will also provide an introduction. “Murky World” gets its hardcover on April 26, 2023, while “Den: Neverwhere” releases on July 26, 2023.

Created by Chris Sheridan and also starring Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, and Levi Fiehler, Resident Alien returns for the rest of season two on August 10.

– Finally, TaleFlick Productions has grabbed the TV rights for the webcomic “God Mode” created by Chris Crosby.
