In case you missed it, AfterShock announced their latest series “Shoplifters Will Be Liquidated,” and we have exclusive previews from Marvel of next week’s “Secret Warps: Iron Hammer Annual” and “Marvel Team-Up” #4.

– Comic artist Patrick Gleason (“Young Justice”) announced via his Twitter that his first major story since his highly-publicized switch from DC to Marvel – excluding his small contribution to “Amazing Spider-Man #25” – will begin in October’s “Amazing Spider-Man” #32. The issue will be written by current “Amazing Spider-Man” writer and colored by Matt Wilson. Gleason’s announcement arrives alongside news of several other artist replacements for five separate Marvel books:

  • Jorge Fornes (“Batman”) will illustrate issue #10 of “Daredevil,” replacing current artist Lalit Kumar Shama.
  • Flaviano Armentaro (“Black Widow”) will relieve Alberto Albuquerque (“Wakanda Forever”) of his duties for “Absolute Carnage: Lethal protectors” #2. This switch follows the announcement of Albequrque’s replacement for issue #1 of the series as well.
  • Similarly, Nico Leon (“Marvel Tales: Black Widow”) is replacing Gang Hyuk Lim on “Agents of Atlas” #2, just as he did for issue #1. Lim illustrated the “Agents of Atlas” tie-in series for ‘War of the Realms.’
  • Guest artist Ken Lashley is continuing his guest-spot on “Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” with issue #12, replacing series artist Juan Cabal.
  • “Star Wars: Age of Resistance- Rose Tico” will now be illustrated by Ramon Rosanas (“Night of the Living Deadpool”), instead of the previously announced Leonard Kirk (“Cable & Deadpool”).

– Over at DC, two books have been significantly delayed. The sixth and final issue of Rob Sheridan and Barnaby Bagenda’s “High Level,” which is published through DC’s newly defunct Vertigo imprint, has been pushed back to an August 28 release date. According to the book’s official Twitter, the book was delayed in an effort to “give the art team a little bit more time on this important chapter.” Also, Neal Adams’s “Batman vs. Ra’s Al Ghul” #1 has been delayed until September 4th. No reason was given for the delay.

– This October will see a crossover between fan favorite Image series “Rumble” and “Head Lopper.” “Rumble” #17 will be written by John Arcudi and illustrated by “Head Lopper” co-creator Andrew MacLean and “Rumble” co-creator James Harren, with an 8-page backup illustrated by Gonzalo Ruggieri.

– Comic artist/writer/editor Christina “STEENZ” Stewart will begin teaching cartooning this fall at Webster University, in Webster Groves, Missouri. Stewart was an editor at Lion Forge before the merger with Oni Press, and was the artist on the Dwayne McDuffie Award-winning graphic novel “Archival Quality.”

– In an unlikely pairing, Skybound Entertainment has teamed with Dr. Pepper to release a “thrilling time-traveling origin story” for Dr. Pepper’s new mascot, Doctor Thaddeus Pepper. “The Adventures of Dr. Pepper” is written by Kyle Starks (“Assassin Nation”) and illustrated by Luca Claretti (“White Queen”). It is available to read here.

– Rob Guillory’s creator-owned comic “Farmhand” is coming to television, thanks to AMC. The network responsible for The Walking Dead and Preacher plans to fully adapt the comic for TV, under the supervision of Into the Badlands executive producer LaToya Morgan.

– Finally, the first three episodes of Vinland Saga are now temporarily available to watch for free on Amazon Prime. The show’s official Twitter announced the news, stating that even people who aren’t Amazon Prime members can catch up on the bloody Viking anime before the next installment drops.
