– The Jerusalem Post’s news magazine, The Jerusalem Report has fired cartoonist Avi Katz, after causing anger on social media by mocking the Prime Minster of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu. The cartoonist depicted Netanyahu and other members of the Likud Party as pigs, in homage to George Orwell’s Animal Farm, as they took a selfie at the Knesset following the passing of the so-called Jewish State Law. Animal Farm tells of an animal uprising against their animal owners and its aftermarth. Katz also included Orwell’s quote in his cartoon “All animals are equal, but some are more than others.” Katz had worked for The Jerusalem Post for 28 years.
