In case you missed it, Netflix announced “Prodigy,” a new Millarworld series by Mark Millar and Rafael Albuquerque.

– Marvel’s Runaways Season 2 will premiere on December 21, 2018. The season premiere will pick up just a day or two after the first season finale. The whole 13-episode season will be available at that time, instead of releasing weekly after a three-episode premiere like the last season. Co-runner Josh Schwartz also teased that the show would be connecting to the larger MCU in the upcoming season.

– Big Finish is producing a pair of new Doctor Who audio plays. The first, set to be released in November of this year, is an original story based on the series of novels that bridged the gap between the original series the current run. The second set, scheduled for March 2019, will be two stories adapted from classic Fourth Doctor comic strips originally published in Doctor Who Weekly: ‘Doctor Who and the Iron Legion,’ and ‘Doctor Who and the Star Beast.’

– Anime steaming service Crunchyroll has been acquired by AT&T in a new media purchase. AT&T will tie in Crunchyroll’s parent company Otter Media into the newly formed WarnerMedia, which was created in the wake of AT&T’s purchase of Time Warner earlier this year. It’s unclear how these moves will affect the service itself, if at all.

– New Batwoman actress Ruby Rose has quit Twitter and disabled her Instagram comments after being harassed on social media following her casting announcement. The actress left a series of posts on Twitter before leaving, concluding with, “I wish we would all support each other and our journeys.”

– The 2018 Teen Choice Awards were held over the weekend, and Avengers: Infinity WarBlack PantherThor: RagnarokStar Wars: The Last JediRiverdaleThe FlashSupergirl, and Cloack & Dagger all took home awards.

– Geoff Johns has confirmed that the upcoming “Three Jokers” mini-series will take place firmly in continuity. The three-issue, 48-page, prestige format title will release sometime later this year with Jason Fabok on art.

– There’s going to be a new anime adaptation of “Ghost in the Shell” coming from Production I.G. The series will consist of two, 12-episode seasons with Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) directing the first, and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) directing the second. An official title has yet to be decided on.

– Marvel is rereleasing all 20 of its films in IMAX starting on August 30 and going through September 6. It will be the first time that Iron ManThe Incredible Hulk, and Captain America: The First Avenger will be released in the format.
