In case you missed it, DC announced a new “WildC.A.T.S.” series (and more) to celebrate 30 years of the team, and Geoff Johns’s ‘New Golden Age’ line. Meanwhile, Brian Michael Bendis and Jacob Edgar will team up on “The Ones,” Image announced ”Kroma” and “Two Graves,” and BOOM! revealed Nick Dragotta is the final artist on “Once Upon a Time at the End of the World.” We also had exclusive previews of Marvel’s “Carnage” #5 and “Fantastic Four” #47.

– After four years, Skottie Young’s “I Hate Fairyland” returns November 16. Young will only write and provide cover art for the new volume, which sees a now adult Gert having to return to the mythical world where she was trapped as a child. Brett Bean takes over art duties. “I Hate Fairyland” originally ran at Image Comics for 20 issues from 2015 to 2018, although Young has published spin-off stories by other creators on his Substack newsletter in the years since then.

– Matt Kindt and his wife Sharlene are creating a three-part espionage thriller about spies so deep undercover, they don’t even know they’re spies. “Spy Superb” will see its “useful idiot” protagonist face down Russian hit squads after accidentally learning classified intel. The book comes from Flux House, Kindt’s Dark Horse comics imprint. Dark Horse publisher Mike Richardson states, “If you close your eyes and imagine John Wick being dropped into a Wes Anderson film, you’ll have a sense of the world of ‘Spy Superb.’”

– Netflix has dropped a special bonus episode of The Sandman. The episode consists of two parts, an animated segment and a live-action one, and features the talents of Sandra Oh, James McAvoy, David Tennant, and Michael Sheen. The animated half is based on ‘A Dream of a Thousand Cats,’ and combines 2D and 3D animation, along with oil canvas paintings. The live-action portion is a retelling of ‘Calliope.’

– Dramatic Labs’s upcoming video game Star Trek: Resurgence will receive a five-issue prequel series from IDW. Written by Andrew Grant and Dan Martin, with art by Josh Hood, the comic will see the crew of the USS Resolute on a mission to rescue Dr. Leah Brahms from the outskirts of the Talarian Republic. The first issue will be available this November, with three variant covers: one from Hood, the other two from Dramatic Labs and Malachi Ward (the retailer exclusive).

– DC has announced “Blue Beetle: Graduation Day,” a six-issue miniseries written by Josh Trujillo, with art by Adrian Gutierrez, will begin November 22. The story will follow “Jaime trying to decide what comes next for him — while juggling a new villain tearing up El Paso and his friends and family pressuring him about his future. Now, Jaime must figure out why messages from the Teach are bombarding his scarab, Khaji Da and what’s drawing the Reach back to Earth… with help from some familiar faces.” It will feature covers from Cully Hamner, Rafael Albuquerque, and David Marquez.

– In more IDW, the publisher is celebrating ten years of “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” comics with “My Little Pony: Classics Reimagined – Little Fillies,” which will retell the story of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women. The four-issue miniseries will be written by Megan Brown, with art from Jenna Ayoub and colors by Heather Breckel. It is due out in October. “Little Fillies” will be followed by a special 10th anniversary edition of the IDW’s first “My Little Pony” comic.

– NBA All-Star Rudy Gobert has teamed up with Titan Comics and artist Vince Serrano for “BASH!,” a standalone graphic novel due out February 2023. The book, released through Titan’s new YA Titan Nova imprint, will follow a boy named Rudy from the planet Nelilia, and the titular brutal version of basketball, played by gods and rockstars, that he dreams of playing. It’s due out on February 14, 2023, and is available for preorder from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Forbidden Planet (UK/Europe).

– CrossGen, now an imprint of Marvel, is republishing the first issues of four original titles. The collection is dubbed “CrossGen Tales” #1, and features debut issues of the following: “Mystic” by Ron Marz and Brandon Peterson; “Sigil” by Mark Waid, Barbara Kesel, Chuck Dixon, Ben Lai, and Ray Lai; “Ruse” by Mark Waid and Butch Guice; and “Soujourn” by Ron Marz, Ian Edgington, and Greg Land. It’s due out on November 2.

In more Marvel news, the company’s November solicits revealed Victor LaValle and Leonard Kirk’s “Sabretooth” series will continue as “Sabretooth & The Exiles”; Ryan North and Francesco Mobili’s “Secret Invasion” will finally begin that month; and the start of the “Yoda” maxiseries announced at Star Wars Celebration. We’ll have more on Marvel’s November releases in our Soliciting Multiversity column.

– Finally, Bucky Barnes is joining the cast of Marvel’s Avengers. Crystal Dynamics announced Update 2.6, introducing the villain-centric ‘No Rest for the Wicked’ Warzone in September. The following update will add AIM’s Cloning Lab, and the consequences of both adventures, leading to the arrival of the Winter Soldier.
