In case you missed it, longtime Marvel and DC inker Dan Green passed away, aged 70. We also ran an exclusive preview of Dead Sky’s “A Splatter Western One-Shot: Swallower of Shades,” and spoke to Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt about “The Midnite Show.”

– Image announced “Blood Commandment,” a four-issue horror series by Szymon Kudrański (“Something Epic,” “A Town Called Terror”). The book follows Ezra, a single father raising his teenage son Wil alone in a mountain valley, where they live an uneasy coexistence with a vampire. “Only the father’s dark secrets can save them… or damn their souls for all eternity!” The first issue will be released November 1, with various covers by Kudrański (including homages to The Lost Boys and The Last of Us for Covers B and C.)
– Dark Horse will publish “Yellow,” the second graphic novel by “Lost Boy” creator Jay Martin. Lettered by Frank Cvetkovic, the book follows Nick, a deserter during a second American civil war. “Branded a coward and marked for death, Nick’s only hope is to get to the other side. His route takes him through a strange, ravaged country where power plants lay destroyed and once great cities have gone dark – an America at war with itself.” It will be released May 14, 2024.
– Marvel launched a three-part “Avengers Unlimited” arc by Tim Seeley, Davide Tinto, and Morry Hollowell, starring Captain Marvel and Iron Man. The story focuses on Carol and Tony trying to put aside their past differences, as they deal with a falling spaceship, and a new alien threat. Part one, “Avengers Unlimited” #60, is available now exclusively on the Marvel Unlimited app, with each next installment going live the following Tuesdays.
– Via an IGN exclusive trailer, it was announced Hellboy: Web of Wyrd will be released very soon on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Steam on October 4. Additionally, IGN released a six-minute gameplay preview, and behind-the-scenes featurette focusing on how the game is a faithful adaptation of the comics. Hellboy: Web of Wyrd, starring the late Lance Reddick, is a roguelike action brawler, that will follow the title character as he investigates the disappearance of a B.P.R.D. agent at the Butterfly House — a portal to the various planes of the Wyrd dimension — in 1982.
– In more games news, Marvel Snap is now available on PC. The award-winning card game, which was released on Android and Apple systems last year, received a new animated trailer to accompany its Windows release, depicting Ghost Rider, Deadpool, Squirrel Girl, and Devil Dinosaur duking it out over the Cosmic Cube, all while shifting between various variants (including a rubber hose-style Wade Wilson, zombie and Sailor Guardian versions of Doreen Green, and a robotic Devil.)
– Over in Japan, Shueisha announced “Black Clover” is being moved from Weekly Shonen Jump, to the quarterly magazine Jump Giga. Series creator Yūki Tabata stated the move, and new schedule, would be a better fit for his personal situation going forward. The manga, which launched in 2015, follows a boy with antimagical abilities, who seeks to become the Wizard King, and is currently in its final arc. The next chapter, chapter #369, will be released in the December issue of Jump Giga.
– Furthermore, Fumiyo Kouno’s “In This Corner of the World” is being adapted into a stage musical. While far from the first manga to become a musical, the touring production will notably conclude its May-July run with a performance in Hiroshima’s Kure City, where the manga takes place. The comic, which ran from 2007 to 2009, told the story of Suzu, a newly married young artist living with her family on the outskirts of the city during the Second World War, before, during, and after the atomic bombing. It was previously adapted into the award-winning anime film of the same name in 2016.
