In case you missed it, Marvel Comics have announced “Monica Rambeau: Photon.”

– Via IGN, comiXology have announced “Blood Oath,” the latest comiXology Original, from writers Alex Segura and Rob Hart, with art by Joe Eisma, colors by Hilary Jenkins, lettering from Jim Campbell, and edited by Heather Antos. “Blood Oath” follows a farmer named Hazel Crenshaw, who takes up bootlegging during the Prohibition. Not only must Hazel deal with the mob, but a “bloodsucking supernatural force” that’s infiltrated New York’s criminal underworld. “Blood Oath” #1 will be available Tuesday, August 30.

– Via CBR, TKO Studios have announced “Sacred Lamb,” a new graphic novel from Tim Seeley which features art by Jelena Ðordevic-Maksimovic. The book follows a “modern-day final girl” who is forced into a witness protection town with other survivors of serial killers. Unfortunately, an army of slashers soon descends on the town. “It’s based on real stuff that I discovered when I was researching ‘Revival,'” Seeley said. “So even though the town is somewhat made up, it’s also based on truth.” “Sacred Lamb” is due out in April 2023. – Via AIPT, Kevin Smith’s curated Dark Horse line, Secret Stash Press will launch their second book, “Quick Stops” #1, this fall. Written by Kevin Smith with art by Jeremy Simser, and lettering from Andrew Thomas, the four-issue “Quick Stops” will (much like the original Clerks) be drawn entirely in black-and-white, and tell tales from across the “Askewniverse.” “Quick Stops” #1 will feature Holden McNeil sharing how he went green with Jay and Silent Bob in the Quick Stop cooler. “Quick Stops” #1 will be available November 2, 2022, and features a cover by John Sprengelmeyer. Smith’s first Secret Stash Press title, “Maskerade,” starts in the meantime on September 14.

– Via ComicBook.com, Marvel have announced Araña and Spider-Man 2099: Dark Tomorrow, a new novel written by Alex Segura. The book finds finds Anya Corazon stranded in Spider-Man 2099’s future, and will feature a new Arana costume designed by artist Humberto Ramos. Segura says, “It meant a lot to see a Latinx Spider-character, and to get the chance to write a novel that in some ways reintroduces the character to readers felt really important and special.” Araña and Spider-Man 2099: Dark Tomorrow will be available May 2, 2023.

– Marvel have announced “Spider-Man: Blue” by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale will receive the oversized gallery treatment, honoring the late Tim Sale. Loeb says “Tim Sale is no longer with us. But the legacy of his incredible talent will always be celebrated… It is a story about love and grief, something we all are experiencing without Tim. Please join us for this extraordinary collection of some of his finest work.” The book will also feature a special Direct Market-exclusive variant cover. “Spider-Man: Blue — Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale: Spider-Man Gallery Edition Hardcover” will be available in July 2023.

– Deadline reports Matilda Lutz, Wallis Day and Robert Sheehan have been cast as the leads in Millennium Media’s Red Sonja movie from director M.J. Bassett. The movie is based on the character created by Roy Thomas and Barry Windsor-Smith for Marvel Comics, adapted from Robert E. Howard’s Conan stories. Actress Hannah John-Kamen had previously been the film’s lead role, however, she has since stepped aside due to scheduling conflicts, with Lutz now set to play the titular role. Day will play Red Sonja’s evil half-sister Annisia, with Sheehan as Draygan. Red Sonja is currently in production.

– Finally, Warner Bros. Games released a new trailer for the upcoming Gotham Knights, featuring a Renee Montoya voiceover and plenty of the Bat-Family’s rogues gallery. The game will now be released four days earlier than previously announced on Friday, October 21, 2022.
