Newsarama shared images from writer and artist Stjepan Sejic’s proposal for a Poison Ivy series with DC Comics. Sejic said that writing a renewed Poison Ivy origin story would be a dream project. The proposal would be set in the same continuity as his Black Label Harley Quinn series “Harleen.” DC has not officially announced a new project for Sejic beyond “Harleen.”

– Bleeding Cool states that all orders that all orders for “Shazam!” #9, #10 and #11 have been cancelled. The current Billy Batson series, written by Geoff Johns with art by Dale Eaglesham, has been plagued by constant delays. Issue #7 and #8 are currently set to come out on September 25th and October 9th, and Marco Santucci is set to takeover from Eaglesham on interior art with issue #10.

Comicbook.com reports that video game developer Telltale Games has been acquired by LCG Entertainment. Details are currently vague about the company’s retention of previous employees, although Polygon reports that some key members are working on staff or as contractors. Telltale Games, which previously developed video games based on licensed properties like Batman, “Fables,” and Guardians of the Galaxy, have indicated that they have maintained most of these licenses for future projects. However, “The Walking Dead” license has reverted back to Skybound Entertainment.

– Speaking of “The Walking Dead,” Deadline reports writer and creator Robert Kirkman’s financial dispute with AMC has been allowed by a judge to proceed to a “mini-trial.” The hearings can begin on February 10, 2020, and are expected to last 2-3 weeks.

Warner Bros. Pictures released the final trailer for Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, and Robert De Niro. The film is written and directed by Todd Phillips (The Hangover, War Dogs) with co-writer Scott Silver (8 Mile, The Fighter) and will be released October 4th, 2019 in the United States.

Animation Magazine has a list of premiere dates for Disney’s slate of new and returning animated television series. New episodes of DuckTales, Big Hero 6, and Marvel’s Spider-Man among others will be airing on Disney Channel and Disney Channel XD starting in September.

According to Variety, HBO Max, the new streaming platform from WarnerMedia Entertainment, will be the exclusive streaming home for CW’s original content including the Arrowverse (The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman). Bam!Smack!Pow! speculates that this will spell the end of the Arrowverse, pointing out Netflix’s license fees helped keep the CW afloat.

– Meanwhile, Comic Book Resources reported that Serial Box is creating three new audio shows based off the CW Arrowverse shows The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl. Gwenda Bond and Christopher Rowe are writing the first 10-episode series, The Flash, featuring Lex Luthor altering the past resulting in The Flash fighting for evil rather than against it. The audio series will be available Fall 2019.

– Finally, Newsarama writes that the extended cut of Spider-Man: Far From Home will be premiering in IMAX theaters for this weekend only and will feature seven minutes of new footage. This is an additional three minutes of footage than what was previously reported.
