– Newsarama reported on two new ‘Incoming!’ teaser images from Marvel Comics. The first image by Elizabeth Torque maintains the puzzle piece aesthetic of the previous teaser and features Jessica Jones, Danny Rand (Iron Fist), and the new Masked Raider (who made their debut in “Marvel Comics” #1000). The second image by Declan Shalvey and Mat Lopes features another puzzle piece with Magneto and Apocalypse standing behind Charles Xavier, who is holding a Krakoan flower with the words “A Deadly Alliance…” fixed at the top. Expect more news on “Incoming” as we get closer to December 26th.

Newsarama also reported on the five week delay of Marvel’s “Crazy” #1. The humor anthology is set to be released October 16th instead of its originally solicited September 11th date. “Crazy” #1 will feature Obnoxio the Clown and will include stories by writers Gerry Duggan, Frank Tieri, artists Don Simpson, Scott Koblish, and others.

Previews World has the solicitations for the latest DC Comics “DC Giants” one-shots, previously only available in mass-market outlets. The comics feature new stories, reprinted material, and are 100 pages long. Titles include “Flash Giant,” “Batman Giant,” “DC Villains Giant,” “Wonder Woman Giant,” “Swamp Thing Giant,” “Aquaman Giant,” “DC Ghosts Giant,” “Teen Titans Go Giant,” “DC Super Hero Girls Giant,” and “Scooby Doo 50th Anniversary Giant.”

Marvel announced that novelist Fonda Lee (Jade City, Zeroboxer) will make her comic book writing debut in “Sword Master” #4, joining co-writers Shuizhu and Greg Pak, and artists Gunji and Ario Anindito this October. The issue will feature two stories. In the first, Lin Lie learns about the origins of his magic sword, and in the second, Shang-Chi is faced with the decision to arm himself with the black sword in Lin’s fight against Ares.

– Writer John Layman (“Chew,” “Detective Comics”) announced on Twitter that he has four new books set to be released in 2020. Three of the books will be creator-owned and the fourth will be a “fun licensed book.” Layman also announced a “season 2” for his Image series “Outer Darkness.”

From Variety, Crunchyroll, the online anime streaming service, entered into an agreement with Viz Media Europe, the top anime and manga publisher and distributor in Europe, for a majority share in the company. The deal comes as Crunchyroll (which is owned by WarnerMedia’s Entertainment’s Otter Media) looks to expand its influence in Europe. Specifics of the deal are currently undisclosed and are pending antitrust clearances.

Gamespew reported on a new video game adaptation of the anime and manga series Fairy Tail. The trailer for the video game was revealed ahead of its showcase at the Tokyo Game Show next week. The game is set to be released on Sony PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC next year.

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed that Jonathan Igla (Mad Men, Sorry for Your Loss) will be writing and executive producing Marvel’s Hawkeye television series. Hawkeye will star Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint Barton and Kate Bishop (who has currently not been cast), and will take place in the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hawkeye is currently set to debut in Fall 2021.

– In casting news, the Reporter announced Iko Uwais (The Raid, Wu Assassins) will play Snake Eyes’s mentor Hard Master in next year’s spin-off movie, while Deadline reports Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) will appear in season 2 of Channel 4 and Netflix’s The End of the F***ing World. The End of the F***ing World season 2 will premiere on the UK’s Channel 4 in November, while Snake Eyes will be released October 16, 2020.

– And finally, The Hollywood Reporter also announced that Joker received the Golden Lion, the highest award at the Venice Film Festival. Joker has reportedly received “almost universal praise” following its premiere at the festival. Directed and co-written by Todd Philips, Joker, which stars Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, and Robert De Niro, will debut in theaters October 4 in the United States.
