– ‘Venom Inc’ is an “Amazing Spider-Man”/”Venom” crossover that will take place in December across the two titles and will – if cover art can be believed – feature Peter Parker in the symbiote suit for the first time in many years. Venoms Eddie Brock, Flash Thompson, and Lee Pace will all be part of the story, which will be written by Dan Slott and Mike Costa, and illustrated by Ryan Stegman and Gerardo Sandoval.
– The Image Comics title “Rumble” is returning December 13th with a new artist. Written by John Arcudi and colored by Dave Stewart, David Rubín is replacing James Harren as artist on the title. While Rubín’s style is disimilar to Harren’s, Arcudi is excited for what the Spanish artist will bring to the series, while Rubín himself is also excited to flesh out and explore the world of “Rumble.”
– The Super-Sons are getting their own-four part crossover with ‘Superman and the Super-Sons,’ starting in December and span the titles “Superman,” “Super Sons,” and “Teen Titans.” Written by Peter J. Tomasi, the story deals with The Batman of Tomorrow coming to kill Superboy, claiming that he will be responsible for the deaths of millions unless stopped.
– Though it’s only had two issues, Tom King and Mitch Gerads’ “Mister Miracle” has been receiving acclaim from critics and fans, but it’s been recently announced via Gerads’ Twitter that, between issues #6 and #7, there will be a short month long break. However, Gerads also teased that something will fill in the month-long gap, though what that something is hasn’t been revealed.
– Earlier this summer, a new Rocko’s Modern Life special was announced, which took the ’90s favorites cartoon character and put them in the 2010s. Now Nickelodeon’s Kaboom! imprint will be releasing a new comic series later this year on December 6th. Featuring Rocko, Heffer, Filburt, and the Bigheads, the comic is being written by Ryan Ferrier and illustrated by Ian McGinty, both of whom have previously worked on other licensed titles. Ferrier and McGinty are both huge fans of the show, and are exited to explore and expand upon the characters and world featured in the show.
– Lotus Entertainment’s Painkiller Jane, based on the comic series by Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada about a NYPD cop who receives regenerative abilities, is getting a screenwriter. Produced by and starring Jessica Chastain, the film has attached Christine Boylan to adapt the screenplay, whose credits include Hellblazer and Once Upon a Time.
– Coming from Image/Top Cow is “Bonehead,” a new title from writer Bryan Hill and Rhoald Marcellius, scheduled to release later this year on December 27th. Set in a near future megalopolis, the title tells the story of thrill-seeking parkour gangs with augmented helmets, and the one member who is key to saving the city from a catastrophic gang war.
