In case you missed it, Dynamite announced two new crossovers yesterday; “The Witcher,” the popular Polish fantasy RPG, is coming back; Captain Marvel showed off her stuff in the first trailer for the film; and Grant Morrison and Dan Mora will return this Christmas with “Klaus and the Crying Snowman.” We also had the first look at Kelley Jones’s art in “Harley Quinn” #50 (out today), and December’s Mignolaverse solicitations.

– “Sword Daughter Vol. 2: Folded Metal,” collecting issues 4 – 6, was announced for a May 2019 release. The Dark Horse series, inspired by the Japanese manga “Lone Wolf and Cub,” is written by Brian Wood and illustrated by Mark Chater. The publisher also announced the series’ seventh issue, out June 5, 2019, will begin the title’s final arc. The first volume, on sale Nov. 21, 2018, is available for pre-order now.

– “Red Sonja” writers Amy Chu and Erik Burnham will pen the first “Red Sonja Holiday Special,” featuring a drunk Santa and, of course, the meaning of Christmas. Ricardo Jaime is on interior art for the issue and Leonardo Romero is the cover artist. The 40-page issue comes out Dec. 5.

– Another holiday special is coming from Dynamite, this time for Barbarella, with writer Jean-Marc Lofficier and artist José Louis Ruiz Pérez at the helm of the long-running series. The book will also co-star the Hexagon Comics superhero Guardian of the Republic. The holiday special will be 48 pages long, and released this December.

– “Marvel Action: Avengers,” a young readers series made in conjunction with IDW Publishing, comes out this December. The series will be written by Matthew K. Manning and illustrated by Jon Sommariva. “We’re incredibly excited to work with Marvel to bring in a new era of all-ages Avengers comics,” IDW group editor Bobby Curnow said in a Comicbook.com article. “Having worked with the creative team in the past, and seeing the material they are cooking up, I’m eager for this book to get in the hands of readers.”

– Netflix announced their newest live-action adaption: Avatar: The Last Airbender, originally an explosively popular cartoon that ran from 2005 – 2008 on Nickelodeon. Original creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko are back on board as producers and showrunners, with production slated to start next year. “We can’t wait to realize Aang’s world as cinematically as we always imagined it to be, and with a culturally appropriate, non-whitewashed cast,” they said, referring to M. Night Shyamalan’s panned 2010 film version. Check out our coverage of the original show here.

– Kevin Grevioux, a comic writer and actor best known for his role as Raze in the Underworld film series, is set to join the creative team behind “Bloodshot: Rising Spirit.” Grevioux joins writers Lonnie Nadler and Zac Thompson, and artist Ken Lashley. The Valiant series hits shelves Nov. 14.

– Finally, Variety reports Disney are considering spin-off shows for Tom Hiddleston’s Loki and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch on their upcoming streaming service. Each series is intended to last six to eight episodes, and are intended to be overseen by Marvel Studios instead of Marvel Television. The Disney streaming service will launch late next year.
