– Writer/artist Gabriel Hardman stated via his Twitter account that next month’s “DC’s Cursed Comics Cavalcade” will also include a story featuring Etrigan, the Demon. The story is written by Corinna Bechko and drawn by Hardman. They were not listed as contributors in the book’s solicit because they were a late inclusion. Bechko and Hardman created and worked together on Image Comics’ “Invisible Republic.”

– IDW will introduce the first female incarnation of The Rocketeer with “Rocketeer Reborn” #1 on December 26th of this year. Written by Elsa Charretier and Pierrick Colinet and illustrated by Javier Pulido, the story takes place 80 years after Cliff Secord became the first Rocketeer, when his classic jetpack is found by an unsuspecting citizen who embarks on her own adventure.

– According to Deadline, Wonder Woman screenwriter Allan Heinberg is set to bring a new female-centric Marvel television show to ABC. The show is still untitled, and little is known about it other than it will be an hour-long drama.  Heinberg will also executive produce the show, alongside Marvel Television’s Jeph Loeb.

– The animated series The Deep – based on the graphic novel series of the same name created by Tom Taylor and James Brouwer – is now at the center of a cross-platform content expansion. Thanks to a new partnership between Technicolor and Nekton, characters and aspects from The Deep will be used in educational videos promoting STEM programs and underwater exploration around the world. The Deep follows a family of brilliant underwater explorers as they explore the mysteries of the planet’s oceans.

– Bloomberg expanded on AMC’s plans to keep The Walking Dead franchise alive and well for the foreseeable future. While specifics haven’t yet been fully developed, AMC did say that they were considering developing several movies that could then spin out into separate television series. They also stated that want to expand the franchise overseas by setting at least one series in a different country. AMC’s president, Charlie Collier, and their CEO, Josh Sapan, also said they are considering the possibility of bringing in a partner to help fund their efforts and gain global exposure.

– Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will receive BAFTA’s Albert R. Broccoli Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Entertainment. Feige has overseen production for every Marvel Cinematic Universe film since 2008’s Iron Man, and is largely seen as the driving force behind the entire franchise.

– EDM icon Deadmau5 will make his film score debut next year with Jonas Akerlund’s Polar. The film, set to release on Netflix early next year, is based on the Dark Horse graphic novel “Polar: Came From the Cold” by Victor Santos.
