– Fans of HBO Max’s Raised by Wolves can pick up a free digital minicomic from readdc.com, comiXology, Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and other participating online retailers. The eight page “HBO Max/Raised by Wolves” #1 provides backstory for the series, showing two androids arriving on a distant planet, tasked with raising humanity’s last hope after the destruction of Earth. The book is written by the show’s creator, Aaron Guzikowski, with art by Meghan Hetrick, colors by Nick Filardi, and letters by Marshall Dillon.

– After a brief hiatus, writer and illustrator Kentaro Miura appears to be releasing a new volume of the classic manga series “Berserk.” While details are vague, manga publisher Young Animal promised “A new beginning” on their website, with the date October 9, 2020. In the meantime, you can read our coverage of the anime version here.

– On Monday, October 26, four days before the premiere of The Mandalorian season two, Disney will begin debuting new merchandise based on the Star Wars spinoff. Every Monday from Oct. 26 to December 21 will be “Mando Mondays,” with Disney showcasing toys, apparel, books, comics, collectibles, and more related to The Mandalorian. This includes products showcasing the fan favorite character simply known as “The Child,” better known as “Baby Yoda” in online circles. Mando Mondays will be featured on MandoMondays.com.

– The Hero Initiative’s “Batman 100 Project” successfully raised almost $100k for comic creators struggling with financial issues. The “Batman 100 Project” was a one-off comic featuring a series of alternate covers for “Batman” #75 from some of the biggest names in comics. It is the latest in a series that began with “The Spider-Man 100 Project” in 2007.

– “The Pride,” the comiXology-exclusive starring a team of “the world’s greatest LGBTQ+ superheroes,” will be getting a print release in 2021. Dark Horse Comics (with comiXology) will be publishing an Omnibus that includes both seasons of the Joe Glass-created superhero story, as well as the standalone story collection “The Pride Adventures.” “The Pride Omnibus” is available for pre-order, and will hit shelves in June to coincide with Pride Month.

– Kieron Gillen has released a free tabletop RPG inspired by British game show Come Dine with Me, called Come Dice With Me. The game, according to Gillen’s itch.io page, “requires: 3-5 players, 2-3 hours, things to write with, things to write on and at least one six side dice.” It does not require a gamemaster, however. The complete rule set can be downloaded on Gillen’s itch.io page.

– Finally, Dan DiDio, who recently stepped down as co-publisher of DC Comics, has been hired to teach comic book development and publicity at The Kubert School. His first class will be “From Concept to Sale,” a weekly online course starting on October 1 and running until the end of the year.
