In case you missed it, Vault Comics announced the new miniseries “We Ride Titans.”

– Red 5 Comics have announced two new series coming to shops at the end of the year. First up is “Mega,” a kaiju series from writer and artist Salvador Sanz (“Angela Della Morte”). The announcement teases a disruption in the natural world that only seems to be sensed by a little girl. The comic will be released as a two-issue premium series, with 48 pages of story and bonus material per issue. “Mega” stomps its way to the shelves this December.

– Also from Red 5 Comics is the sci-fi series “Download” from writer (and Red 5 Comics co-publisher) Scott Chitwood and artist Danny Luckert. Billed as a love letter to the classic Amblin “kids on bikes” films like The Goonies and Explorers, the series finds a young boy named Eric being struck by lightning. When he comes to, he finds his brain filled with schematics for strange new devices, which he feels a compulsion to build and turn on. The four-issue miniseries “Download” also hits shelves in December.

– Karla Pacheco (“Spider-Woman”), Scott Hepburn (“M.O.D.O.K.: Head Games”), and Ian Herring (“Silk”) are letting the symbiotes fight in “Venom/Carnage Infinity Comic,” a new title in the vertical-scrolling Infinity Comics line on Marvel Unlimited. The series kicks off with an aerial battle over the skies of Las Vegas, with their brawl continuing over four issues. “Venom/Carnage Infinity Comic” #1 is available now on Marvel Unlimited, with new issues coming every Wednesday.

– After it was missing from the solicitations through the end of the year, this week’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” #18 officially confirmed it was the series’ final issue. Via Newsarama, the issue – also the final entry in the event ‘The Last Annihilation’ – featured a bit of text overlaying the final page that reads “The end! Thanks for everything – and see you at Gosnell’s!” This run constituted the sixth volume of the series, and saw writer Al Ewing teaming with artists Juann Cabal, Marcio Takara, Juan Frigeri, and more. The third (and final) trade paperback collection of the series is due out on November 18.

– A new red-band trailer teases the bloody violence in store from Warner Bros. Animation’s upcoming film Injustice. The adaptation of the video game Injustice: Gods Among Us and the prequel comic “Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year One” finds Superman taking control of the Earth, and establishing a police state after being tricked by the Joker into killing Lois Lane and destroying Metropolis. When Batman opposes his new brutal methods, the rest of the heroes of the world must choose a side. Injustice is set for a release on Blu-ray and digital on October 19.

– BOOM! Studios has found a new Chief Financial Officer in Jennifer Harned. A C-suite global operations and finance executive, she previously served as President and General Manager for Bell Giro, Blackburn, and Raskullz, among others. “Jennifer adds an unparalleled breadth of experience and acumen to our team at BOOM! Studios which will be instrumental in continuing the company’s tremendous growth,” said Ross Richie, BOOM! Studios Founder and Chairman of the Board, on the publisher’s website. “She not only brings a phenomenal eye for opportunity, but also a fresh new perspective on what is ahead of us.”

– The rapper and singer Swae Lee has released a new music video for his song from the Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The track “In the Dark,” featuring Jhené Aiko, can be heard in the Macau scene in the film, and was released as a single from the soundtrack album back in August. The video, directed by Tyler Yee and starring Jun Yu and Natalie Lim, features a pair of teenagers preparing for and attending their senior prom.

– The actor Peter Palmer, star of the Broadway and big-screen musical versions of the comic strip “Li’l Abner,” has died at the age of 90. Via The Hollywood Reporter, the news was announced by Palmer’s son, Steven, on Facebook. A former college football player, Palmer simultaneously studied voice at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, singing the national anthem at every home game during his 1953 season. He was cast in the Broadway production of the musical comedy adaptation of Li’l Abner shortly after college; the show was a smash hit, leading to a movie version for Paramount where he reprised his role.
