In case you missed it, Mad Cave announced a new Dick Tracy comic book by Alex Segura, Michael Moreci, Geraldo Borges, and Chantelle Aimée Osman.

– In a press release, DSTLRY have announced “Blasfamous,” written and illustrated by Mirka Andolfo. The story takes place in a world where music stars have ascended to godhood, and Clelia, “the reigning queen of pop,” has some new, steep competition, forcing her and her demon agent to try and stop her new rival. “Blasfamous” #1 is available for pre-order, and will go on sale at comic shops and digitally on dstlry.co this December. A five-page prelude, ‘A Blessed Day,’ is available to read in the meantime in the publisher’s one-shot special “The Devil’s Cut.”
– In an exclusive at The Mary Sue, Oni Press have announced “I Feel Awful, Thanks,” the debut graphic novel from Spanish-Romanian artist Lara Pickle. The story follows a young witch named Joana, who lands her dream job crafting potions, only to discover things don’t always fall into place. “I Feel Awful, Thanks” will be available in stores on March 4, 2024.
– Via Graphic Policy, Marvel have announced a new creative team for the next arc of the Infinity Comic “X-Men Unlimited.” Steve Foxe and Steve Orlando will handle writing duties, while Lynne Yoshii has been tapped for art, and Fer Sifuentes-Sujonext will color. Beginning in “X-Men Unlimited” #106, this six-issue story arc will see Sunfire go on a mission to Otherworld’s Crooked Market to save the mutant Redroot. “X-Men Unlimited #106 is available now on Marvel Unlimited, while new chapters drop every Monday.
– Via Anime News Network, Dark Horse have announced they have licensed Kenji Tsuruta’s manga “Captain Momo’s Secret Base (Momo Kanchо̄ no Himitsu Kichi).” Dana Lewis will handle translation duties. The story takes place in the year 3019 and follows Momo, the captain of the space cargo ship, the Blue Chateau. Dark Horse’s description says “she struggles against interstellar tedium, company directives, low battery strength, and her ever-underfoot cat, Grandpa John.” The manga was first published in “Rakuen Le Paradis” in 2017. Dark Horse’s oversized 140-page volume of “Captain Momo’s Secret Base” will be available on May 15, 2024.
– Dark Horse also announced “Black Hammer Volume 8: The End” will be released in trade paperback in bookstores on June 11, 2024, and comic book stores the following day. The six-issue series, written by Jeff Lemire with art by Malachi Ward, and lettering by Nate Piekos, is set to conclude in January. The collected edition will include a sketchbook section, and bonus art by Tonci Zonjic, Tyler Crook, Caitlin Yarsky, David Rubin, Max Fiumara, and Wilfredo Torres.
– Via School Library Journal, Papercutz have announced “Double Booking: Tail of the Mummy Cat,” written by Chas! Pangburn and Kim Shearer, with art by Nic Touris. The book follows siblings Otto and Nan, who accidentally release a mummy cat, and must hunt it down. The comic is a double-sided flip book, with each side dedicated to one character’s point of view. It will be released April 16, 2024.
– Yesterday Netflix streamed DROP 01, a virtual showcase of new animated media coming soon from the streamer. Some notable inclusions were the first footage of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, as well as Masters of the Universe: Revolution. Scott Pilgrim Blasts Off sees the cast of the movie play their animated counterparts. The eight-episode series premieres on November 17, 2023. Masters of the Universe: Revolution will see He-Man and Skeletor face off when it premieres in 2024. Netflix also included a previously released trailer for Pluto, based on Naoki Urasawa’s adaptation of the “Astro Boy” arc, ‘The Greatest Robot on Earth.’ Pluto debuts October 26, 2023.
