Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– There was a press event held for the Blu Ray release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige (along with producer Jeremy Latcham) spoke to the press and discussed a number of things of note. Among the topics: yes, there are multiple Infinity Gauntlets, yes, Infinity War will, more than likely, ‘end’ the Avengers team that we know, and more. It is certainly worth a read, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking.
– Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice will officially be rated PG-13. This seems about right, but I’m sure there are some people out there sad that the movie isn’t dark enough to get an R.
– Powers – you know, the comic adaptation that you forget exists – just added Michael Madsen to the cast. Madsen will be playing Supershock, aka the ‘biggest superhero in the world’ according to series co-creator Brian Michael Bendis. Season 2 is set to drop in 2016, after Madsen appears in Quentin Tarrantino’s Hateful Eight this December.
– Keeping with the TV news, The Flash has cast Melrose Place alum Vanessa A. Williams as Iris West’s mother.
– Also, it is time for yet another Jessica Jones trailer.
– While appearing on a Grantland podcast, Axel Alonso has some details on the next big Marvel event, saying that it will be a story that will impact ‘everyone.’ There is no timetable, or bigger clues, but the interview is an entertaining one.
– And, finally, J. Scott Campbell is selling some exclusive variants on his website, and they ain’t cheap, folks.
