In case you missed it, Dark Horse announced the Hellboy Universe-set “Sword of Hyperborea,” while Marvel will reunite Ron Marz and Ron Lim for Silver Surfer: Rebirth.”

– Marvel will publish “Star Wars: Halcyon Legacy” next year. Writer Ethan Sacks and artist Will Sliney, best known for their “Galaxy’s Edge” miniseries, will reunite for the five-issue miniseries. Like the last mini, “Halcyon Legacy” will also tie into a Disney World experience, with a story expanding on Walt Disney World Resort’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, opening next March. The plot of the miniseries will follow a single spacecraft through various points in 275 years of Star Wars history, from the High Republic to the First Order. This leads into Galactic Starcruiser’s storyline, taking place between The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker.
– The third part of Marvel’s Star Wars trilogy will also hit shelves next year. “The Hidden Empire,” the third part of writer Charles Soule’s Qi’ra trilogy, was announced on the final page of “Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters” #5 (released yesterday). “War of the Bounty Hunters” was the first part of the planned trilogy. The second part of the epic will be “Star Wars: Crimson Reign,” the first issue of which is due out on December 1. No artist has been announced for “Hidden Empire” as of yet.
– Furthermore, Marvel is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Luke Cage in 2022, with “Luke Cage: City of Fire” leading the celebration. The three-part miniseries begins December 29 (after two months of delays), and it is now being branded as a tie-in to the Kingpin-centered ‘Devil’s Reign’ event. Ho Che Anderson writes the series, with Farid Karami providing art for the first issue, Ray-Anthony Height taking the second, and Sean Damien Hill with the last. Taurin Clarke will provide covers. A collected edition is due out on April 19. 2022 will also see the release of a Luke Cage omnibus, the first Marvel has ever released for the character.
– The second half of Attack on Titan: The Final Season will premiere on January 9, 2022, on the NHK General channel. Before the landmark anime resumes with its 76th episode “Danzai” (“Sentencing”), NHK will air six compilations and character-focused original episodes starting on October 24. – DC fans excited for Rocksteady Entertainment’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League can now call Amanda Waller’s phone number. In a post on the upcoming action-adventure shooter’s official Twitter, fans were urged NOT to call or text +1 (310) 564-7047. Those that disregard the request will be treated to a message from The Wall herself scolding Harley Quinn for wasting her time. Texters will be sent a link to register for “A.R.G.U.S clearance.” The game is expected to be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2022.
– Image co-founder Todd McFarlane is teaming with video game retail giant Gamestop for “McFarlane Day.” The “Spawn” creator tweeted about the event, urging fans to “stay tuned for some amazing deals and exclusive pre-order launches!” No exact date has been given, though it is expected to be sometime this week.
– Valiant Entertainment has announced its first original graphic novel, which will be funded via Kickstarter. “Eternal Warriors: Scorched Earth,” written by Tres Dean, with art by Alberto Taracido and a cover from Gerald Parel, will follow Gilad Anni-Padda and Tama the Geomancer as they investigate strange wildfires that may mark the return of an ancient fire deity. The Kickstarter is set to launch this November. The first 250 subscribers to Valiant’s newsletter for the OGN will receive a bookmark featuring original art from the book.
– Finally, Netflix released a trailer for Tear Along the Dotted Line, an Italian animated series based on cartoonist Zerocalcare’s autobiographical comic strips. He voices himself in the series, which follows a “complicated journey” with his friends Sarah and Secco. The trailer references the original announcement from a year ago. The series is set to hit the streamer on November 17.
