Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– Deadline is reporting that Syfy’s pilot based on Grant Morrison and Darrick Robertson’s “Happy!” has cast Christopher Meloni as the lead, Nick Sax. This is a fantastic choice to play a man who was once a star detective who now lives a completely run down life and is guided through solving a child’s kidnapping by a floating, blue horse.
– While I’m tentative to post this because the only source if Bleeding Cool itself, it seems like Eva Cabrera, artist of “Kim & Kim”, will be working on a prequel comic to CW’s Riverdale show. This sounds interesting, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for more information.
– Eurogamer is reporting that the Marvel game that Telltale is working on is actually based around “Guardians Of The Galaxy”. This will likely tie in to the release of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 and could be cool, but I have to say I will be disappointing if this is true. With Telltale’s skill at building interesting stories woven through franchise narratives, I was hoping for something a little larger in scope.
– While we may have to wait until next year to see Hugh Jackman return in Logan, check out a first look at the poster here. Cool, huh?
– Variety say down with Alden Ehrenreich to talk about the Han Solo movie and the casting of Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian. It’s a cool read and confirms the suspicions that Chewbacca will, in fact, be in the movie. Check it out.
