– Jeff Lemire tweeted out that he and Jock have a new project set for a 2021 release. No other details have been announced, including the plot or a title.

– Returning to its DIY roots, Michel Fiffe has made issues #38 and #39 of “COPRA” available on Etsy. These issues will continue the Ochizon Saga from both the original series and six-issue Image run, though it restores the original legacy numbering. Fiffe encouraged fans not to wait for the trade, as one collecting these issues won’t be released “for a while.”

– Marvel has announced that writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Minkyu Jung’s run on “Magnificent Ms. Marvel” will end in January with a giant-sized issue. “Magnificent Ms. Marvel” #18 will be the 75th issue of Kamala Khan’s stand alone series, and feature her and Amulet battling Stormranger. “We’ve brought Kamala face to face with new enemies and to new places in her personal life, sent her to space and to the edge of the law,” Ahmed said of the run. “Now others will tell her story their way. I can’t wait to see what that looks like.”

– Following the final issue of Marvel’s “Maestro” miniseries in December, the future tyrant Hulk will return the following month in the five-issue “Maestro: War and Pax.” The miniseries will feature art from Javier Pena, and continue to be written by veteran Hulk writer Peter David (who created the villain in the classic ‘Future Imperfect’ storyline). “I am thrilled that, 20 years after I created him, the Maestro still intrigues people so much that the first series garnered the sort of success that demanded a follow-up,” David says of the new book.

– In more Hulk news, Declan Shalvey will both write and draw this January’s ”Immortal Hulk: Flatline,”, a one-shot spinning out of Al Ewing and Joe Bennett’s instant classic series. The single issue story will introduce a new villain, and see Bruce Banner “confront the source of his anger.”

– Eisner-Award winning series “Invisible Kingdom” is switching from monthly issues to an OGN for its final volume, “In Other Worlds,” and Dark Horse Comics have announced it will be released on May 12, 2021. Both writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Christian Ward are returning to conclude the sci-fi epic. Preview pages can be seen here.

– Dark Horse also announced a middle-grade graphic novel called “Goblin,” by writer Eric Grissom and artist Will Perkins. It will tell the story of Rikt, a young goblin seeking revenge for the death of his parents. The book will be released in comic book shops on May 26, 2021, and in bookstores on June 8, 2021.

– Publisher First Second unveiled the cover of writer/artist Nidhi Chanani’s new graphic novel “Jukebox.” The OGN examines the relationship between history and music, and follows Shaheen and her cousin Tannaz, as they travel through time with the help of a magic jukebox found in an attic. “Keyed to the music on the record, the jukebox sends them through decade after decade of music history, from political marches to landmark concerts,” the official description reads. “But can they find Shaheen’s dad before the music stops?” The book is due out June 22, 2021.

– A Broadway adaptation of Moyoco Anno’s manga “Memoirs of an Amorous Gentleman” has been announced, with Anno breaking the news on her Twitter. The manga ran from 2013 to 2018 in the Feel Young magazine from Shodensha, and follows Colette, a brothel worker in the early 20th century. The manga was previously adapted into an animated short, produced by Anno’s husband Hideaki’s studio, and released on YouTube.

– Finally, ShortBox’s Comics Fair will be held this weekend (October 24 and 25), on ShortBox’s online store. The UK-based publisher announced the con last month, while the company was struggling during COVID-19. According to founder Zainab Akhtar, coronavirus-related cancellations cost ShortBox a third of its income, making it difficult to cover shipping fees.
