— Dark Horse will publish “Notes on a Case of Melancholia, or: A Little Death,” created by Nicholas Gurewitch (“The Perry Bible Fellowship Almanack”). The tale of fatherhood, death, and psychoanalysis is an updated version of Gurewitch’s Kickstarter project, and is set for release on March 18, 2020. Dark Horse will also publish “The Perry Bible Fellowship Almanack: 10th Anniversary Edition” in January 2020.

— Rebellion Publishing announced their 2020 specials lineup, which includes works from creators like Garth Ennis (“The Boys,” “Preacher”), Ram V, Alex de Campi, Rob Williams, Dan Lish, VV Glass, Danijel Žeželj, and more. The 12 new specials will be released beginning in March through December.

— Valiant released a teaser for a comic debuting in 2020, and it looks like Ninjak. The teaser, part of the #Valiant2020 campaign, states that an unnamed character will be “stepping out of the shadows” next year.

— Comics historian Michael J. Vassallo and comic art restorer Allan Harvey are releasing a collection of 50 stories from Atlas Comics, the company that became Marvel. Atlas at War! will contain the work of 20 different artists, including Russ Heath, John Severin, Bernie Krigstein, Joe Maneely, Jerry Robinson, Steve Ditko, and Jack Kirby. According to a press release, Atlas Comics published more war titles than any other publisher in the industry between 1951 and 1960.

— Tom Taylor and Jorge Molina are merging Spider-Man and The Hulk in “Immortal Hulk: Great Power.” The brand new one-shot is set to debut January 29, 2020, from Marvel Comics.

— Marvel also announced new solicits for its previously announced “X-Men” and “New Mutants” releases, including cover art. The two comics are set to debut in December.

— In further news, Marvel announced “Weapon Plus: World War IV” by Ben Percy and Georges Jeanty, with cover art by Kyle Holtz. Set to release in January, it explores the Marvel Universe’s Weapon IV Program, teasing that “mutants aren’t the only ones to have weaponized flora.”

— Meanwhile, Jason Ragatz, a member of the story team at Insomniac Games, announced the script for their Spider-Man video game will be published in hardcover on February 11, 2020. The 240-page Marvel’s Spider-Man Script Book, written by Jon Paquette, Ben Arfmann, and Christos Gage, will retail for about $50.

— Legendary Television has optioned Eisner Award-nominated graphic novel “Grass Kings.” Created by Matt Kindt and Tyler Jenkins, and published by BOOM!, it follows the rise of the Grass Kingdom, an off-the-grid haven for outsiders in Alaska.

— Finally, DC have released a first look at “You Brought Me The Ocean,” a YA graphic novel written by Alex Sánchez (Rainbow) with art by Julie Maroh (“Blue is the Warmest Color”). The book is a coming-of-age story for Jake Hyde/Aqualad, as he falls in love with a swimming team captain, and it goes on sale June 9, 2020.
