– Apparently, people like Supergirl. The series debut on CBS drew nearly 13 million for its debut, easily trouncing Gotham, which was actually also up in the ratings, but only drew 4.85 million viewers. It might be because Supergirl is incredibly fun and Melissa Benoist is everyone’s new secret crush. This is the highest rated debut of any new show this Fall season.

Deadpool will apparently have a more ‘traditional‘ view of Colossus. Here is what Colossus actor Andre Tricoteux had to say about the role:

“I think you’re going to get to see more of who Colossus is. Like I said, we kept him really traditional to the comic book. So yes, I think people will get a better sense of who he is,” he added. “Yeah, you’re going to get to see a little bit more of who he is and kind of his outlook on the world.”

I think he’s right – I’ve really missed Colossus’s worldview in the past X-Men films. Deadpool opens next February.

– It appears that in all action sequences in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice, the Bat-suit will be completely CGI, much like General Zod’s suit in Man of Steel. Hopefully, this doesn’t mean that Superman will snap his neck, too.

– Speaking of DC film costumes, “Empire” has two new Suicide Squad covers, featuring both the Joker and the Enchantress. This film continues to look as subtle as the ‘Damaged’ tattoo on the Joker’s head.

– There are a few new TV/film adaptations that got announced today – first, Archaia’s miniseries “Butterfly,” by Arash Amel, Marguerite Bennett and Antonio Fuso, is coming to Channel 4 in the UK. Secondly, Sony has optioned “Ciudad,” an original graphic novel by the Russo Brothers (directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier). Congrats to all involved!

– And, finally, 11 years after solicited originally, we finally can see some interior art from “Batman: Europa.”
